My favorite knife of 2025, the TR-3 Integrity by Pro-Tech. It's just pure perfection. What do you guys think?

$180, USA Made, and in Magnacut! That's a pretty crazy bargain.
This is the Hellbender Co. Ranch Hand. If you've been thinking about getting into fixed blades, this is a damn good place to start.

I had the chance to spend some time with the Pro-Tech x Chaves Scapegoat Auto, and I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure how I felt about it at first!
Chaves, to me, has always meant big, overbuilt, heavy-duty designs. So seeing that design language pulled into something this compact felt a little strange at first.
But once you understand the intent behind it, it makes a lot of sense.
This feels like a Chaves design filtered through Pro-Tech’s lens. It still has that solid, confident feel, just in a much more pocket-friendly package. And the PROTO-MagnaMax blade definitely adds another interesting layer to the story.
I break down the full background and my experience with it in my latest YouTube video. Curious to hear what you guys think.

This is the production Pro-Tech Avalon, and I’m honestly stoked to be the one sharing its story.
Aside from spending time with the knife itself, I also got to have a real conversation with Shawn Ashmore about the design, how the Avalon ended up the way it did, and what this moment means for him as a designer.
These will hit dealers January 29th!

Stroup Knives Mini1: tinyurl.com/r2zsvnv2
$159 USA Made fixed blade!
My friend Tyler from Cajun Knife And Gear sent along this Stroup Knives Mini1 for me to check out! This is one of the most comfortable fixed blades I’ve handled.
At CanCon this year I got to meet Chris and his boys. It was awesome being able to meet him after hearing how awesome his fixed blades are. All of them are hand made here in the USA and it was definitely a highlight to see him there.
If you guys want to snag some of his work hit up my friends at Cajun Knife & Gear 🤘🏼
