Lost my phone in a freak accident at a beach, sadly most if the raw videos of a memorable trip got lost for ever, I am fine but I guess will take a break before uploading another tip video.

Build it ride it.

I have always wondered about the scooter culture till recently, here in India. Most of the motorbike enthusiasts(including me) are so engrossed with the likes of biggies that this parallel world of two wheeled transport have gone largely ignored. Scooters have always been a reliable works horse, and luckily despite the socialist flavour of economy we luckily had quite a decent set of options/brands to choose from, specially, the various bajaj models,Lambrettas, Lambys, Alwyn,APSIL,SIL,LML, and the list goes on and on lesser known Rajdoot runabout,Narmada and Enfield fantabulous existed and despite the long queue and waiting period for certain brands you had quite a handful on the roads serving as a mini family car for the average household, each model has had their own USPs and social prestige attached to it where while 'chetaks' were a favorite universally , disrupters like Vespa XE, LML NV and Kinetic Honda were revered as they brought the freshness to an otherwise stale, stagnated industry.
Going to an extent of elaborating on individual models' spec will be tedious as well as futile, as finding information of general specs etc is readily available on internet, hence I rather would choose to go ahead with the 1997 LML Vespa NV 150 which I own. I purchased mine "GJ12-F-2570" in 2016 and restoration job was not some thing very difficult as parts were readily available and the costliest job done was probably the paint job. Three years down the line I have slowly and gradually accimilated almost all the requisite details except a few, like front fender bumper etc. as of today it does look a little beaten but still comes to life in almost the first kick, with every mechanical component working in perfect symphony. The effect of age however has started showing up and each component is being taken care of as they fail or are susceptible to fail. I further have decided to upgrade the engine with a self starter and a new wiring for attaching additional lights as well as charging points for GPS device before embarking "The 2000km ride on vespa".
Last but not the least and to be honest I have moved over to scooters from motorcycles, and probably the newfound love is here to stay.
Regards
