Welcome to the channel where history, wilderness, and discovery collide.
I’m Rob, a Tasmanian explorer and storyteller documenting gold prospecting, long-range hikes, gemstone hunts, and deep dives into forgotten history.
I’m a 6th-generation Tasmanian, raised on rivers, old stories, and a deep respect for the pioneers who carved their way through this wild country. Their camps, workings, their triumphs and tragedies are woven into our landscape, and I try to bring those stories back to life one journey at a time.
If you love adventure, research, lost stories, and the thrill of uncovering something unseen for decades — you’re in the right place.

Back out in the bush after the holiday period, picking up exactly where we left off.
I’ve just completed an overnight trip down the river to follow up the footprints Ted discovered back in 2023, and there are some genuinely promising signs worth paying attention to.
Importantly, the search hasn’t gone quiet. Many members of the official search team are still actively looking, and more ground is being covered behind the scenes every week, while the broader project continues at the same momentum, with others working remotely as well.
This isn’t a case of “waiting for police results before doing anything.”
We’re back into it, and we’re pushing deeper.
Stay tuned.

G’day legends, I just wanted to jump on and say thank you.
The response to Part One of the December search has been incredible. Nearly a quarter of a million views in five days, with comments coming in from all over the world, it’s been really humbling to see how much care and interest people have shown for Céline’s story, and I’m super proud to be a part of it.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas. It’s been a good chance to take the foot off the accelerator after a massive year on YouTube, and finally enjoy some proper warm weather with the family (and plenty of beach time 😄).
I’m now back into working on Part Two. It follows a new direction in the search that changed things big time, and I’m hoping to have it ready in about a week.
Thanks so much for your patience and ongoing support, it really means a lot.
Wishing you all a safe, happy, and adventurous New Year.

Hi everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to address a few important matters regarding the official search for Céline in December.
First, it has come to my attention that fraudulent GoFundMe pages are circulating online. These pages have not been approved by Céline’s family, and I strongly urge everyone not to donate or share them.
While I cannot confirm the true intent behind these fundraisers, the fact that they claim to be raising money for a full month December search is, in my opinion, misleading — and sadly risks masking their efforts under the guise of the official operation.
This is not okay, and I feel it’s important that everyone is made aware.
There is only one official fundraising page supporting the December search, and you can find it here:👉 tribee.fr/participations/cagnottesurlestracesdecel…
Volunteer Update:
To everyone who has registered their interest and followed the instructions outlined in my videos — thank you. You have all been added to the volunteer list, and further details will be shared soon.
Due to the overwhelming response, the number of applicants has exceeded capacity. The final team selections and scheduling will be determined by the official organisers, based on experience, availability, and suitability for the terrain. I truly appreciate your patience, support, and commitment to helping bring answers for Céline’s family.
A Few Clarifications:
As I mentioned in my first video, when I first learned that the December search would initially involve only Céline’s five friends, and knowing first-hand how difficult that terrain is, I felt compelled to use my platform to help attract skilled and experienced people who could make this search as effective as possible. Ultimately, this effort relies on both determination and chance and it may take just one right person in the right place to bring closure for Céline’s loved ones.
Members of the Waratah community have reached out to me expressing concern over rumours that hundreds of people might descend on the town in December. Please rest assured, that will not be the case. There are around 60 registered volunteers, and the search will operate under strict daily limits to ensure teams remain safe, manageable, and well-coordinated.
The safety of every participant is the highest priority. For this reason, unregistered individuals cannot simply turn up and join in. Registration for the December search is now closed, and I want to sincerely thank everyone who has shown such generosity, care, and willingness to help.

Over the past few weeks, the response to the two videos in the Search for Céline Cremer series has been incredible, and I just want to say a sincere thank you to everyone who’s watched, shared thoughts, or offered information.
This story means a lot to many people, and your encouragement has helped guide where to take the search next.
I’m currently working on the next video which will be live this Saturday, and it continues the Search heading deeper into the wilderness, west of the hill.
One of the most requested things from you all in the comments was to re-enact Céline’s timing heading up the hill, to see how the light and visibility would have looked as the sunset faded, So we’ve done just that.
Thank you again for the encouragement and insight so far, it’s been amazing seeing so many people engaged and helping piece this story together from all parts of the globe.

✨ A huge thank you ✨
In less than half a week, the latest video on Céline Cremer’s disappearance has reached over a quarter of a million people. I’m truly grateful to everyone who has tuned in, shared their thoughts, and offered theories and expert insights from all corners of the globe.
On top of this, dozens of generous viewers have already added €2000 to the fundraiser, an incredible show of support for Céline’s family and the search effort. These donations will be used to purchase necessary safety gear for the search.
I will be working behind the scenes on another video before the major December search. In the meantime, while the West Coast weather does its usual spring time thing, I’ll be putting together a recent 2-day gemstone adventure from Tasmania’s North East – where I found my biggest sapphire to date and have just had one of the best stones cut from the trip. 💎
Thank you all for your continued interest in Céline’s case. Some new clues are currently surfacing that should be very helpful in piecing together what happened after her last known GPS points at 4:18pm on 17 June 2023. I’ll share more as it develops.

Hi everyone,
I want to take a moment to sincerely apologise for bringing a personal situation into the public space and involving my YouTube subscribers and supporters in something that should have remained private. As some of you have already noticed, I have removed the video as I felt it was the right thing to do to move forward.
As a filmmaker, I’ve always aimed to share real experiences, the highs and the lows of my various adventures. I’ve tried to be honest and transparent, not just about the successes but also about the struggles. I never imagined sharing my recent experience would take such a horribly negative turn or impact others the way it did.
The last thing I ever intended was to create such immense division. I stand behind my feelings that my friends actions were not fair or justified, but I acted out of hurt, and my emotions were real and raw. I’m not proud of how I expressed them publicly. I see now that I let personal feelings cloud my judgment, and I regret putting that out into a space that should be about community and exploration.
The betrayal I felt cut deep, and it’s something I’ve had to process slowly and painfully. It forced me to reflect, grow, and learn. I’ve come to terms with the fact that I may never receive the apology I once hoped for when everything unfolded. And although that’s hard to accept, that’s life.
Watching the reactions to the video, I came to understand that the feeling of betrayal is deeply personal and very universal. The intensity of the responses made it clear that, in one form or another, many of you have felt that same sharp sting. It resonated with many people’s past pain.
I’ve since reached out to the other party involved, and we’ve had an honest conversation. We both offered each other apologies for how this has been handled, cleared the air, and are ready to move forward with understanding and respect between us. It’s a huge relief to have that clarity, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make my part in things right.
Now, I want to shift focus back to what matters moving forward, sharing exciting and meaningful adventures with you all on YouTube. Your continued support means the world to me and my family, and I’m committed to learning from this and doing better in the future.
Thank you for your patience and for sticking with me.
With gratitude,
Rob
