You know, if Diesel 10 were to return in the Thomas 2026 reboot (which it would be a bummer if he didn’t), I would seriously kill for him to have his old TATMR persona instead of the way he has been since Calling All Engines. He is easily the best Thomas villain, and he has all the potential to be.

Last night, I watched this movie and it was the best Thomas movie tied with Thomas and the Magic Railroad! Now THIS is perfection. From the amazing story of the engines preparing for a restoration to a town Thomas found, to the introduction of Stanley, to the narration by Pierce Brosnan, who, had the series not switched to CGI, would’ve been made the regular narrator from then on, to the cinematography, to the models (given that this was the last time models were used for the trains in the Thomas series, so consider this a finale to the model era), to the songs, to the writing, right down to the characters, as much as I like Thomas and the Magic Railroad, this is perhaps the most exceptional, heartwarming, well-written, and high stakes movie I’ve seen in Thomas’ history (direct to video wise, but this is in a tie with Magic Railroad as the best Thomas film). Without a doubt, one masterpiece of a Thomas movie I’ll never forget to sit through.
