Top 5 Best and Worst Phineas and Ferb Episodes:
Best:
1. Isabella and the Temple of Sap: This is one episode that defines Isabella all in one episode: a girl who is not just one to be there to flirt with Phineas and the girl who says “whatcha doin?” but also be a strong character with a determined side, and it shows. She shows even more of her leadership side, and that face she made while pleading with the hippie is so adorable! And even the Fireside Girls have distinct personalities to them, with this episode showing a little more to them. And the Pinky subplot just shows that Pinky can be just as cool as Perry. A very cute episode. I also like how this is the first sign that implies that Ginger has a crush on Baljeet, and that’s cute too. And the key of wisdom does look like a pretty cool item. This episode is still worth every rewatch, and it’s that enjoyable. The fact that Isabella is my favorite character is the reason why she is the main protagonist in most of my videos, and the animation is excellent and great, as always for Phineas and Ferb. This is my favorite. It’s peak Phineas and Ferb for me.
2. The Chronicles of Meap: I love this episode too. It is, no doubt, one of the best episodes of the show in my opinion and it shows. Meap is a pretty cute alien and it’s interesting that he can only talk with a mustache on. And Mitch is a great villain (even though he’s not that great as a character overall in my opinion). I also love the Phinbella subplot. It just carries the whole episode. Also I like the ET reference with Candace and Meap riding a bike in the sky at one point. But enough on that. Ferb riding the ship is pretty cool. However, while I do like Phineas finding Meap cute, I do feel sorry for Isabella when she gets frustrated with his obliviousness. But I also love that moment where she stood up to Mitch. And the subplot with Doofenshmirtz trying to get Balloony back is pretty wholesome, with the backstory of him losing Balloony being both silly and emotionally gripping. Overall, a great episode. And one more thing: RIP Don LaFontaine, one of the masters of trailer voiceovers.
3. Summer Belongs to You: I just can’t express enough how amazing this episode is. This episode is full of relationship expansion (Phinbella and Canderemy), great songs (including City of Love, Summer Belongs to You), and an ambitious plot of Phineas and Ferb trying to travel across the world in one day. This presents one of the rare moments Phineas gives up only to snap out of it, driven by the pep talk Isabella gives him. It also displays one of THE rare moments where he’s not afraid to get mad when he needs to, especially once he yells at Candace for not cooperating. I also like the message of believing in yourself, which is a good message in real life. But I also find the scene where Isabella breaks down on the island sad. It is an emotional moment because I feel bad for her and root for her to be with Phineas. But for the bully he is, it’s nice that Buford gave everybody their bikes back, showing that he can care every once in a while. And at the same time I am happy for Candace since she finally got her kiss from Jeremy that she tried to get through the entire episode. In all, this has smart writing, vibrant animation, and capability to be both funny and deeply emotional. I can see why the fandom of this show considers this one of their favorite episodes.
4. Lord of the Firesides: War, arguments, and fire, oh, my! This is a crazy episode but in a good way. I consider this one to be my favorite episode of season five and another one of my favorite fireside girl episodes, and for obvious reasons. While I can sympathize with Isabella’s struggle to lead the fireside girls on her own with Ms. Feyersied sick, I do find the arguing with the fireside girls kind of funny, and I find the watch it burn song, literal fire! It hits that hard. Isabella is still as lovable as ever, the Doofenshmirtz and Perry plot is pretty funny, even though I miss the pinky subplots, and this episode has Isabella express emotions that hit even harder than before. And I love it. Also, the ending where most of the fireside girls are back to normal is great. I can’t stress enough how good this episode is, considering that is season five we’re talking about.
5. Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars: The ultimate crossover between two Disney franchises in one. Phineas and Ferb take Luke and Obi-Wan’s role, Isabella takes Han Solo’s role, and Candace is a stormtrooper who suddenly goes good. This is how you do a plot similar to a new Hope right. I like the character interactions between those from Star Wars and the Phineas and Ferb cast, Isabella being a pilot is pretty cool, even though she in this episode didn’t have to be so snarky. Still she is pretty awesome in this episode. I like the jokes, including Baljeet singing about socks to the beat of the imperial March, Darth Vader saying “ I find your lack of socks disturbing,” and the songs, including Tatooine, are very good. I recommend this to Star Wars fans and Phineas and Ferb fans alike.
Worst:
1. Dooflicated: Pure. Unadulterated. Discomfort. Just the very concept of the characters being turned evil being made into a plot point just makes me feel very uncomfortable, and there’s the fact that it just gets used to the max here and I don’t like it. While everyone does get back to normal in the end, the way they just made several characters evil in this episode just distresses me. It’s the mean 6 from MLP all over again. The only joke that worked was when Buford suggested the bread bowl hot tub again and the others just said “groan”. Other than that I find this episode overrated and awful. I thought Phineas and Ferb get busted was bad enough, but this one takes the cake and throws it right out of the bakery! Seriously I would keep away from this episode anytime now. This is my least favorite episode from season five and tied with Phineas and Ferb get busted as my least favorite episode of the show in general. I absolutely hate it.
2. Phineas and Ferb Get Busted!: Who thought it was a good idea to make a torture episode on Phineas and Ferb themselves? They go through heck here, from being sent to reform school just because they were modifying their mom’s car, to being wrongfully scolded by the drill sergeant for trying to do something creative, right down to being sprayed with water, which is straight up child abuse! This episode literally goes against the one thing the show is encouraging: creativity! Oh my gosh. I hate this episode so much. At least Candace did the right thing by saving them, even though she was wrong to get them sent to the reform school, as much as I do like her overall as a character. Some of the jokes, including Candace posing as Morty Williams, are worth a laugh, and I do feel sorry for Phineas and Ferb in this episode. Also, it is a relief to know that the whole episode was just a dream in the end. However, this episode just feels quite dark, which is out of place for a show like this. The whole idea of having getting rid of kids’ imaginations is so cruel that it gets even worse than you can possibly imagine. But I’m glad Isabella did not get tortured since she wasn’t in the reform school. That aside, this is why you do not torture Phineas and Ferb or it gets ugly. Words just don’t express how much I despise this episode.
3. Candace Gets Busted: Why would Candace get caught for a party that she didn’t even throw in the first place? That’s just unfair! And the fact that everyone just ignored Candace when she was trying to keep them under control just makes it even worse. At least the Perry subplot was okay and the Candace party song was kind of funny, but that’s it.
4. She’s the Mayor: while this episode is not the worst episode, it’s not very good either. Candace abusing her powers when she takes over as mayor, that I consider taking it too far. Overall, this episode is really mediocre and average.
5. Phineas and Ferb Musical Cliptastic Countdown by Kelly Osbourne: The flash animation in this really turns me off. It just looks a bit rough and a bit stiff. The fact that this feels like an ad for teen Beach movie 2 is just laughable. Not helping is that while the voice acting in general is pretty good, Kelly’s acting in this one is very bland, and the song selection is not as good as that of the previous Musical Cliptastic Countdown episode. While it’s the animation in take two with Phineas and Ferb I find OK, the animation here is probably the worst in the series so far. Don’t get me wrong. Kelly Osborne is not a bad actress overall, but this episode is just not very good.

My top five worst episodes from my favorite shows:
5. Thomas’s wonky whistle (Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends) (if Thomas’s whistle was never broken then this episode never should’ve existed in the first place! Who in the writing room thought this was a good idea?)
4. Noah’s Ark (VeggieTales) (decent concept, but terrible execution not helped by the pretty bad Netflix redesigns)
3. Ponyville confidential (MLP: FIM) (A NEEDLESSLY MEAN SPIRITED CMC TORTURE EPISODE!)
2. A pal for Gary (SpongeBob SquarePants) (SpongeBob, as likable as he is most of the time, is at his absolute worst here because he ordered a pet for Gary even though Gary was fine in the first place and didn’t need a companion with him. Not to mention the pet, a nudibranch named puffy fluffy, is absolutely nothing but a vicious, savage beast, and turns from so-called cute to a monster who terrorizes Gary every time SpongeBob leaves. Like what the heck were you thinking SpongeBob? You didn’t have to treat Gary like this! He never should’ve even bought a pet for Gary because at the very least Gary would’ve enjoyed himself anyway while SpongeBob was gone if you ask me. Gosh he is such an idiot in this episode)
1. Phineas and Ferb get busted (Phineas and Ferb) (what could I possibly say that hasn’t been said about why I hate this episode? This is just an extreme torture fest. Phineas and Ferb gets sent to reform school and get tortured there, and worse yet they get tortured by a drill sergeant who sprays them with water to strip them off their imaginations! And not helping is that Candace (as much as I like her) caused the boys to get tortured by the sergeant even though she did redeem herself by saving them. I know this episode was only a dream at the end, but I just can’t get by how mean this episode was! I would gladly watch any other episode except for Candace gets busted (the worst part of that episode being that unfair ending where Candace got caught for a party she didn’t even throw in the first place) and maybe Dooflicated (which I’m not very comfortable with the characters being turned evil by Doof, which is done in the most jarring way possible, so it’s no wonder I’m staying away from that episode.))

Thoughts on this episode?
For me: it’s one of the best episodes of season 3 of Phineas and Ferb in my opinion. And this episode is one of the reasons why I decided that Isabella should have Mitch as her nemesis in my universe. But anyways, it is pretty great that Phineas showed that he does find Isabella cute, even if he does show it in his own way. Makes me wish Meap Me in St. Louis had more Phinbella moments than it ever does. Overall a worthy follow-up to The Chronicles of Meap.

How would Isabella react if she saw Phineas and Ferb getting tortured by being sprayed with water by the Drill Sergeant to destroy their imaginations? I bet she would be so angry if she saw anyone mess with Phineas like that.

My Review on SML’s Toad’s Mistake:
Oh my gosh why? Why would they torture Toad over a nickel? All he just wanted was to have a lucky day. And to have him explode? That’s just cruel. He most certainly does NOT deserve it. Even worse, this is the SML version of Mario we’re talking about, because even he joins in on the torture. The video game version of Mario would never do that. And while it can be a bit funny to some, Luigi’s anger over Toad touching his nickel is petty. Not gonna lie. So, in all, this episode of SML is overrated and pure, mean spirited Toad torture. My gosh, I can’t get by how unbelievably uncomfortable and messed up this is. I just despise this episode. And the 2009 version is pretty bad too.
