My name is Michael, and I'm an old soul with a passion for American-made iron. I come from a long line of Italian vegetable farmers in New Jersey, the former produce capital of the USA. On my channel, you'll find videos of all different kinds of heavy machinery - tractors, trucks, construction equipment, and more! I ran my own lawn-care business in high school, worked for a Case IH ag dealership out of college, and currently work for one of the largest Peterbilt truck dealerships in the country. I collect antique tractors for fun, and hope to start collecting vintage trucks in the near future. I also enjoy tractor/truck hunting, dirt track racing, urbex (rural history), and country & rock music, so you'll occasionally see videos on that stuff as well. You can find me outdoors, on the road, at a tractor show, or wrenching in my shop. If you like what you see, don't forget to hit that Subscribe button. Thanks for stopping by!

Coming soon...we'll take a ride for old time's sake, to say goodbye to my second childhood home (and the setting for many of my YouTube videos over the years).

Can we please turn the clocks back 30 years or more? I've had enough of watching my childhood disappear over the last few years. In another week, this whole landscape will look completely different...
So disappointed seeing what my home state is turning into...the Garden State's biggest crop isn't vegetables or nursery anymore. It's now houses.

Follow-up to my last post...
If you own a 2016+ John Deere X380, X384 or X570... save yourself from future headaches, and swap the front axle and steering gear with the ones from a previous-generation X300-320-340 or X500 model. Thank me later!
Another hour or two of re-assembly and tie rod adjustment, and we shouldn't have to worry about stripped gears or broken spindles anymore.

@JohnDeere , this is the third time in 9 years and 750 hours our X570 has sheared a front spindle underneath the weld, and on smooth ground this time. We've replaced the left spindle twice and right spindle once. After 9 years of owning this machine I can confidently say that using the lighter X300 series axle and steering on a medium-duty garden tractor was a poor design choice. Nothing but headaches with the steering and front axle components on this thing. In hind sight, this is really just an X390 with a heavier rear than it is an X500 series. Disappointing for (what was) $6000 and is now a $7900 unit brand new.
Easy to see why they dropped the "Multi-Terrain" badging when the X500 was discontinued.

Only 25 of these tractors were built, 12 are known to still exist, and I was fortunate to get my hands on two of them. Coming soon...the story of two very collectible (and unusual) John Deere tractors that most collectors have never even heard of.

I have decided to part out this '88 JD 318. Anyone need any parts? Sheet metal and rear wheels are sold but everything else is available. P series Onan engine needs work and the 46" deck is cracked.

#ThrowbackThursday to the last "Leap Day" (Feb. 29, 2020) when I was still a Penn State student. I miss that 318 but I certainly don't miss the school.

POV: It's June 1980 and you walk into your local John Deere dealer to buy parts for your 60 tractor. The parts guy writes up your invoice on a card like this, pulls the parts off the shelf (because they're always in stock), and sends you on your way.
