Donna Adi is an artist and creative director from Los Angeles whose illustrative twists have taken the internet by storm. Today, she orchestrates brand campaigns and events for major companies like Balmain, Puma, Google and Michael Kors. Her emergence onto the scene dates back to 2016, when she created a popular multimedia art style that has since gone viral - one in which she combines vibrant illustrations with lifestyle and fashion photographs.
Her artwork unveils deeper stories within the photographs and has caught the eye of celebrities such as Winnie Harlow, Gigi Hadid and Olivia Culpo, among others..

My Marbella Princess is actually coming to life slowly but surely. You all know how stressed I was about going forward with this because I’ve never made a painting this big yet. It’s scary but honestly what’s the alternative?
You can’t wait forever to feel ready. At some point you just have to rip off the bandaid, go for it, and trust the process, right?
So that’s what I’m pushing myself to do now.
I’m nervous but I have faith.

My favorite Met Gala illustrations from 2018-2024! Tell me which one of these is your favorite. Every year I look forward to this moment to see all of the incredible art that each fashion designer creates for the red carpet. Illustrating each year even got me a dream job back in 2019 to illustrate for the met Gala on the people attending such as Gigi Hadid, Zoe Saldana, Emily Blunt and Tiffany Haddish. I will never forget it!!!

A collection of some of my favorite self-portraits I’ve illustrated over time. Most of these started as blank canvases, and often, I shoot them with the intention of illustrating over them later.
Posing for these is always a bit awkward, especially when people walk by and see me holding something that doesn’t even exist yet. But once the art comes to life, it’s always worth it!
