This case study looks at a 2016 Ford Explorer with a wiper concern where only high speed works. Initial checks confirm the driver inputs are being recognized, but the system doesn’t behave the way you might expect. We then look at the LIN bus signal at the wiper motor using a lab scope. Along the way, pulse-width triggering and serial decoding are used to better understand what the network is doing under different conditions.
