In about a month, I am set to undergo surgery to fix my carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome in my left arm.
While I typically donāt share my super personal life on social media, I think this is an extremely important topic for all musicians, and thatās making sure you take care of your body.
I spent a long time ignoring the signs my body was giving me, and kept pushing through issues I shouldnāt have. A mix of that and some unlucky genetics put me in the position Iām in currently. My fine motor skills have been deteriorating and Iām at a point where intervention is necessary if I want to continue playing music for as long as possible.
Anyone that knows me would tell you that music/guitar is pretty much my entire life. (lmao) So naturally Iām terrified at the idea of someone slicing my elbow and wrist open for obvious reasons. But, I am excited for the results and getting past this chapter.
I have a lot of stuff planned over the course of the next year that I couldnāt be more excited to share šš«¶ I will also be making a video discussing my health a little bit in the near future.
For now I still plan on doing regular uploads and hopefully I can backlog some stuff for uploads as I recover, as well as diving into more conversation/tutorial based content too.
I also wanted to document this whole process of procedure and recovery over the next few months as a reminder to myself that we are all vulnerable and human. Endeavors of any kind will not come without its obstacles. We all struggle in some way or another, but itās never the end.
Stuff is gonna happen, try your best to think of your future self and prepare. But never let it stop you š
Here is the word document after lots of rephrasing and deleting and adding things! It's a big picture look at how I think about writing so hopefully it helps in some regard to inspire you to try something new in your own writing processes. I am still planning on making a video where I am writing in real time and talking about what I am doing which will follow a lot of the key concepts that are listed in here.

I am currently trying to write an informative word document for a walkthrough style video similar to the one I did about my mixes (which lowkey is old info now lol). It highlights all the big pieces of my writing "process" into chunks and I want to share it with you guys, so bear with me while I try to figure out how to be a normal person and talk to a camera haha
Also having a job takes so much of my free time smh
I'll make the document available for everyone to access when it's finished and I am going to make a video that connects to it. . :)
Question though, would you guys want to see a "thick riff thursday" style of video showcasing a bit more of my writing process? I've been considering doing more long-form content, but I am unsure of how well it'll be received.
