The United Nations has responded to The Mojo Story’s query on the situation of former Pakistan PM Imran Khan, who has been held incommunicado in Adiala Jail for over 25 days.
Farhan Aziz Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, told us: “We want his human rights and due process rights to be respected.”
This comes amid mounting concerns over Mr. Khan’s health, lack of family access, and denial of independent medical evaluation.

India’s oldest mountain ranges are under threat. The Supreme Court has accepted the central government’s new definition of the Aravalli Hills, under which only landforms rising 100 metres or more above the local terrain, along with their slopes and adjacent lands, will be considered part of the Aravallis. According to an internal assessment by the Forest Survey of India, this means over 90% of the hills, especially the lower-elevation ranges that act as natural barriers against sand, dust, and pollution, could lose their protected status. Experts warn that allowing mining and construction in these areas could have severe environmental consequences, including worsening air quality in Delhi-NCR, disruption of wildlife corridors connecting Sariska and Ranthambhore, groundwater depletion, and increased soil erosion. While the upper Aravallis help block finer pollutants, the lower hills play a critical role in shielding the region from heavier dust particles, making this redefinition a major ecological and public health concern.

A Delhi woman has alleged that she was assaulted by an Uber driver during a ride on Wednesday, raising serious concerns about passenger safety in the city.
Bharati Chaturvedi shared her experience on X, saying she had booked an Uber from Vasant Vihar to Sarvodaya Enclave for a doctor’s appointment. She claimed the driver initially agreed to follow the GPS route but soon became aggressive. When she asked him to drive straight instead of taking a U-turn, the situation escalated, and she alleges he grabbed and twisted her arm when she tried to open the cab door.
Chaturvedi said calls to emergency services (100) went unanswered, and Uber’s in-app safety line provided minimal help, merely advising her to call the police again. She criticized Uber’s response, describing it as inadequate.
Uber India acknowledged the incident, stating it was “very concerning” and requested trip details via direct message for follow-up. Chaturvedi, however, said she had already provided all information during her earlier call. Following the report, Uber removed the driver from its platform, calling his conduct a violation of its Community Guidelines. The company also reminded riders to use the in-app SOS button to directly reach law enforcement in serious situations.
Chaturvedi later told followers she had minor elbow pain but was “hugely angry” over the ordeal.

Three days after the passing of legendary actor Dharmendra, his wife and veteran star Hema Malini has shared her first public tribute. Dharmendra, 89, died in Mumbai on November 24. On Thursday, November 27, Hema posted an emotional message, describing him as “everything” to her.
In the heartfelt note, she wrote, “Dharam ji ❤️ He was many things to me — a loving husband, a doting father to our daughters Esha and Ahana, a friend, philosopher, guide, poet, and my constant support in every moment of need. He was truly everything to me, through both good times and bad.”
She added that Dharmendra had a special way of forming warm bonds with everyone around her, saying he won over all her family members with his easy charm and genuine affection.
Reflecting on his legacy, Hema called Dharmendra a “unique icon, unmatched among legends,” noting that his humility and universal appeal made him beloved across generations. “His fame and contributions to cinema will endure forever,” she wrote.
She also spoke of the immense personal void left behind: “My loss is beyond words. The emptiness will stay with me for the rest of my life. After so many years together, I have countless memories to hold on to.”
Dharmendra, often remembered as Bollywood’s ‘He-Man’ and one of Indian cinema’s most cherished actors, was cremated in Mumbai on Monday. He is survived by Hema Malini, his first wife Prakash Kaur, and his six children — Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, Ahana Deol, Ajeeta, and Vijeta.

A four-year-old girl who went missing from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on May 20, 2025, is finally home — thanks to a six-month, multi-state search led by the Mumbai Police.
Her parents, who had travelled from Solapur for her father’s medical treatment, spent half a year walking in and out of police stations, clutching a crumpled photograph, and begging strangers for any trace of their daughter. Officers across Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh reviewed hours of CCTV footage, circulated her posters from Mumbai to Varanasi, and refused to close the file.
The breakthrough came in Varanasi, where a local journalist recognised a little girl at an orphanage after seeing her missing poster. Mumbai Police travelled there, verified her identity, and confirmed what her parents had prayed for every single day — their daughter was alive.
On Children’s Day, November 14, she was flown back to Mumbai. As soon as she stepped out, she ran straight into the arms of the officers who had spent months searching for her. Moments later, her parents broke down as they held her — their child, returned after 178 days of fear, grief, and relentless hope.
The alleged kidnapper is still being traced.
But tonight, one family sleeps whole again.
And for the Mumbai Police officers who carried her case in their hearts for six months, this reunion will be one they never forget.

The Supreme Court has upheld the dismissal of Lieutenant Samuel Kamalesan, a Christian Army officer removed from service for refusing to enter his unit’s Sarva Dharma Sthal — a multi-faith prayer space that includes Hindu and Sikh sanctums — during an officially mandated religious parade. Calling his conduct “gross indiscipline,” the Court reiterated that the armed forces operate on collective discipline, cohesion, and adherence to lawful orders, and that individual religious convictions cannot override regimental requirements within a secular Army framework.
Kamalesan had argued that stepping inside the sanctum would conflict with his Christian beliefs, though he had previously taken part in other interfaith ceremonies. The Court, however, held that his refusal struck at the heart of unit harmony and confirmed earlier decisions stripping him of service benefits, declaring him “a misfit for the Army.”

A massive ash plume from a volcanic eruption in Ethiopia (Hayli Gubbi) is drifting over northwest India, including Delhi-NCR, with parts of the cloud reaching 25,000–45,000 ft. While most ash is staying at high altitudes, the silica particles and sulphur dioxide could irritate lungs, especially for those with breathing issues. Aviation authorities have raised alarms — flights have been disrupted because volcanic ash can damage aircraft engines. The good news: IMD forecasts say the plume will likely move away from India by evening, reducing the risk to ground-level air quality.

Delhi’s pollution crisis has deepened, with the city’s AQI crossing 400 in several areas — firmly in the “severe” category and among the most polluted cities in the country.
As toxic smog blankets the capital, residents report burning throats, breathlessness and air that feels “heavy” to inhale.
One techie’s post (Kunal Kushwaha) has gone viral after he described the shock of returning from London, saying even AQI 200 felt like “needles in my lungs.”
He wrote that he could “taste and smell the pollution” the moment he landed in Delhi. His blunt warning has resonated widely: “Leave Delhi, go in debt if you have to.” The post argues that no job, property or routine is worth risking long-term health. As pollution soars, the message hitting home for many!
