Hi 🖤 I wanted to give an update because the last episode of the History of Life series is going to be late.
I am safe, as well as my home and my animals, but I live in a part of LA that is in the “fire weather watch” zone. Power outages and brush fires that were a little too close for comfort have left us scrambling a bit, and now the Palisades fire is moving in an unfortunate direction. I have an evacuation plan if necessary, but needless to say, it’s been a bit difficult to prioritize writing the end of the episode.

If you are in LA, I hope you’re safe and taking care of yourselves and your communities. These fires are devastating, and it’s been incredible to see how the city has come together to help each other out.
