By the way I’m still alive! I’m home from my trip now and back taking care of the birds again.

Little baby speckles has grown a lot, but she still likes sleep with her head tucked under peanut each night, it’s so adorable!

I had plans to record a bunch of videos while I was away but the animals just didn’t show up when I had time to film, and there was a bunch of other people at the park which made having a shot with no one else in it hard. Despite the excuses, I’ve gotten a bunch of clips so I’ll make probably 1-2 videos about all the birds I found in Australia.

I’m also buying an editing laptop now because editing on my phone is a huge pain, and my editing software is designed for vertical, not horizontal so it’s not optimal.

Also YouTube now automatically adds music to posts?!? I just hope people don’t start paying YouTube money to make their songs automatically chosen. . . Anyways the song seemed fitting so I kept it. Let me know if you hate it or if it even plays at all lol.

Also I’m hoping to do a stream this weekend now that I’m back! But anyways that’s all for now, bye!

Those of you who know Greek mythology with recognize the Lernaean Hydra here.

It’s a three headed chicken, and each time one leaves the nest box 2 more jump in to take its place. . . But seriously, why do all my leghorns only use a single box when others are free? It’s weird.

Anyways, hope you’re all doing well. I’m planning some adventures I want to record, I’ll talk here again later!

Peanut is laying eggs on top of her baby!

After just over a month raining her baby, peanut has had enough being a mother and is wanting to get back to her normal life, but little baby speckles won’t let Peanut get away from them that easily.

Also I’ve posted 4 images, you might need to scroll to the side to see them in the shorts feed.

Anyways, Peanut and her baby are really cute, and I’ve recorded a few videos on it that I’ll be able to edit when I have time and when I get my new editing space set up. But YouTube has made some new changes recently that are going to give me a lot of trouble with my future shorts, but I’ll discuss it in my livestream today that’s happening a few hours after this is posted.

If you don’t want to miss my shorts when I upload them and want to catch my streams when they are live, feel free to hit the bell and turn on notifications. I also have a community discord server linked on my channel you can join to stay in the loop too.

Also while I’m here, I want to give a huge shoutout to all my members who were still supporting me during my recent hiatus from videos. Huge thanks: Connie, Large Family Homestead, Weird AL, Tiffany Smith, Buggy Farms, Arebs, Birds Eye View, and Deniz.

And thank YOU for watching for the last 2 years that I’ve been sharing my bird stories!

Go feed some treats to your chickens.

Do it because it makes them happy, and as a result makes you happy too.

Howdy everyone, sorry for being gone for a while, I was in Ottawa visiting family, but I’m home now!

I’ve attached a bunch of photos from my trip.

Now that I’m back to the farm I’ll go back to my usual streaming schedule, so I should be live again this weekend around my usual time! The hens are all doing well, and the geese are doing well too. Also the little baby peacock is doing really well. I’ve named her speckles after my late hen of the same name and peanut is still happily raising her little speckles!

I might make a video about the different birds I found in Ottawa, but the fun random videos I really like making don’t do very well, so I’ll have to see how to make it work properly. Some of my favourite videos are the spur of the moment videos about random wild animals I find. When I’m in Australia again I want to go back to my roots and make simple videos feeding the seagulls again. I really enjoy those.

Anyways I got some comments asking where I was, don’t worry I’m not dead! Ok bye now until next time! Have a good one, hope you’re all doing well!

All is well with the birds, and I’ll probably do a livestream some time tomorrow, Sunday. Hope to see you there!

Peanut’s baby finally hatched! She is now the proud momma of a tiny baby peacock!

It’s a tiny pied peachick, and I’ve named her Speckle in honour of my late hen Speckles. She looks like a regular baby chicken but with long legs and a long face, and she’s really cute!

Also I’ve discovered several large families of baby ducks living in my sewage pond. One day they just randomly showed up here, and since I promised to show off wild ducks in the past here they are now!

That’s all for today, have a good one everybody!

YouTube just took down my recent post about my terminally ill chicken for a bogus copyright violation!

I used 2 photos in that post which were BOTH taken BY ME! And now YouTube took it down. I can’t appeal this decision or otherwise YouTube will share my full legal name and address with the false claimant, effectively doxxing me and risking the safety of both me and my animals.

This is unacceptable.

Edit: so apparently the post is still up??? I have no clue what’s happening man. I have had a terrible day with my hen slowly dying on me and I don’t need to deal with this AI moderation hallucination garbage.

Sorry for the lack of posts recently, little speckles has prolapsed randomly and I’ve been trying to fix it for the last 2 days. . .

Apart from the prolapse she’s in great health and I’ve been keeping her isolated so she’s not getting pecked at, so I’ll keep trying to help her.

As for peanut, her single surviving egg is supposed to hatch in about 3 days!

That’s just a little update, I’ve had a lot of unpleasant work to do, and I need to keep doing it.

Have a good day everyone I’ll update you when peanuts eggs finally hatch!

Happy 4th of July everyone! I have my red and white chickens with the blue guy in the background!

This was a hard shot to take lol, but Americans are 33% of my audience so I thought, might as well.

Peanut’s also brooding really well right now, and her baby should be hatching in about a week!

Ok, that’s all, bye!
