We’re so glad to have you here! Lore Escape is for those who love deep dives into worldbuilding and storytelling. We'll be looking deep into LEGO themes and characters from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s (though directed at those who grew up with these, not for kids), as well as Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and the Marvel and DC cinematic multiverses. If you routinely have a million wiki tabs open after a hard day, this channel is for you.

‪@blocks-magazine‬ has posted a video summarizing some of the early development of the LEGO Pirate theme. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you haven't had a chance to read The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks.

The LoreEscape Instagram is now live! You can follow me there for video updates, images from my collection, custom minifigures, and any MOCs I’m able to squeeze in. I'm kicking off with a series of minifigures based on *other* retro toylines. Anyone recognize this skeleton crew?

Friend of the channel @VezonWireless has a great video here about the rediscovery of a cancelled Adventurers theme in 2005 that ended up impacting everything from Dino Attack to Vikings! Definitely check this video out, especially if you or anyone you know was on Eurobricks back in 2005--the investigation is ongoing!

Woo hoo folks, we did it! Thanks in no small part to the TrikBrix shoutout yesterday, we've finally ticked over the 3000 subscriber mark! Thank you so much to everyone who's supported the channel over the last few years.

I'm working on a subscriber special video to mark the occasion. I wasn't expecting to get here for another couple of weeks, so it won't be the next video, but the good news is that if you have any questions you'd like answered, let me know and I can work them in!

The legendary ‪@TrikBrix‬ just posted an excellent review of the King's Mountain Fortress, a set that loomed large in my imagination as a kid! He's also given the Mystery of the Black Monarch video and this channel a shout out--a very pleasant surprise! :) Check out the review ASAP!

‪@Ride_Creator‬ has posted a great video about the classic LEGOLAND coaster The Dragon. As part of my Castle lore deep dive I've been looking at a lot of footage of this attraction, so I really enjoyed this look at the ride and why it's been duplicated 11 times across every LEGOLAND Park. Check it out!

Hey folks, ‪@VezonWireless‬ has posted a really fun video on the lost lore of that 2010 theme--oops, I mean 2005 theme--Dino Attack and its maybe-mechanical maybe-mutant dinosaurs! Run, don't walk over there and check it out.

‪@TrikBrix‬ has posted the long awaited 1998 Adventurers Retrospectacle, and it's a nostalgic feast for the eyes! I've owned all of these sets for decades, but some of the details captured in this video are things I've never noticed. It's a great celebration of one of the all time best LEGO themes.

‪@DuckBricks‬ has a really interesting video interview with Christian Faber up. Some things I hadn't really heard before include an explanation for how Advance was created to be LEGO's go-to ad agency, some great stories behind those amazing catalog dioramas from the 80s and 90s, and the secret (well, new to me at least) backstory behind LEGO Friends.
