We’re so glad to have you here! Lore Escape is for those who love deep dives into worldbuilding and storytelling. We'll be looking deep into LEGO themes and characters from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s (though directed at those who grew up with these, not for kids), as well as Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and the Marvel and DC cinematic multiverses. If you routinely have a million wiki tabs open after a hard day, this channel is for you.

‪@StarWarsCentralized‬ posted a very well put together look at the Legends roots of Andor, including the Interlude at Darkknell story, which I also covered in a very early Lore Escape manner back when the first season had just wrapped up. Check out their video, and take a look back at mine if you feel so inclined. :)

No pirate ships this round, but I know this 90s nostalgia themed set is gonna be a must-have in the LoreEscape household! Congratulations to Castor-Troy! Anyone excited about this or the other LEGO Ideas selections?

‪@StefanStacksStuds‬ has put together a great video on the design language of LEGO Pirates--well worth checking out!

The Redcoats are coming! One of the trickiest parts of trying to present this part of Redbeard's life in a coherent way is that the Imperial Guard leader minifigure was treated as two separate characters in different regions: the previously existing Governor Broadside and the brand-new Admiral Woodhouse. (And they do NOT like each other.) I've embraced the Woodhouse character but will continue to include Broadside whenever he is clearly identified as such. Here are a few examples of confirmed Broadside redcoat sightings: The 1993 Disney Adventures comic advertisement Peril in Pirates Cove, a 1992 touring show display, and 1999's LEGO Racers. Redbeard Biography Chapter VI: Redbeard vs. Redcoats, coming soo--well, coming next at least!

‪@blocks-magazine‬ has posted a video summarizing some of the early development of the LEGO Pirate theme. Definitely worth checking out, especially if you haven't had a chance to read The Secret Life of LEGO Bricks.

The LoreEscape Instagram is now live! You can follow me there for video updates, images from my collection, custom minifigures, and any MOCs I’m able to squeeze in. I'm kicking off with a series of minifigures based on *other* retro toylines. Anyone recognize this skeleton crew?

Friend of the channel @VezonWireless has a great video here about the rediscovery of a cancelled Adventurers theme in 2005 that ended up impacting everything from Dino Attack to Vikings! Definitely check this video out, especially if you or anyone you know was on Eurobricks back in 2005--the investigation is ongoing!

Woo hoo folks, we did it! Thanks in no small part to the TrikBrix shoutout yesterday, we've finally ticked over the 3000 subscriber mark! Thank you so much to everyone who's supported the channel over the last few years.

I'm working on a subscriber special video to mark the occasion. I wasn't expecting to get here for another couple of weeks, so it won't be the next video, but the good news is that if you have any questions you'd like answered, let me know and I can work them in!
