✨ Supreme Reflection Day is December 12! OR YOU CAN SAY “BLUE BUDDHA DAY” (23rd Lunar Day, WANING MOON)
buddhaweekly.com/events/event/23rd-lunar-reflectio…
🌙 Supreme Reflection Day is the day to especially reflect on the poisons of hate and anger with the help of the Vajra Family: Akshobhya Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Vajrapani Bodhisattva, Black or Blue Tara — think Blue!
Don’t miss the 3Gems Black Tara Puja, a beautiful “fierce” expression of reflective wisdom. Watch Tara symbolically destroy the demons of anger and hate with her wisdom sword (a full Puja sung beautifully with offerings, refuge, dedication and mantras!) sung by @3GemsBand: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n93mp...
OR, for more serene “moon reflecitng moment” Akshobhya’s great Dharani: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUdi3...
Since the time of Shakyamuni Buddha, the 23rd Lunar Day — the quarter of the waning moon was the time when the followers would gather to repent, purify and still their minds, reflecting on their anger and hate:
✅ Deep self-reflection (like a spiritual mirror) —the symbol in Buddhism is the MOON REFLECTED IN THE WATER! This symbolizes Akshobhya or Vajra Family Reflective Wisdom.
✅ Releasing negative patterns (karma-clearing mantras)
✅ Manifesting wisdom (Buddha’s third-quarter blessing)
📅 Date: DEC 12 — But any time in the waning moon period is fine. 📍 How to Participate Short Practices for the “Blue” Vajra Family Mirror-Like Wisdom Family (all of these are frontal visualilzation only unless you have empowerment):
🙏Practice the short Concise (6-Minutes with mantra) practices of Akshobhya Buddha Beautiful Video here on Buddha Weekly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kmP_Z...
🙏Chant Akshobhya Buddha’s Supreme Vajra Dharani which purifies every negativity! Beautifully chanted in Sanskrit here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUdi3...
🙏LOCHANA MOTHER, the Wisdom Mother of the Vajra Family, Mantra chanted in Sanskrit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrCAo...
🙏CALMING REFLECTIVE WISDOM: Medicine Buddha Practice (13 minute complete practice): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5PTO...
🙏MEDICINE BUDDHA DHARANI (very soothing and healing): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brDYL...
🙏For a MORE ACTIVE or even WRATHFUL approach to remedying the negative obstacles of anger, hate or destructive emotions (both external or internal — for instance hate directed at you in the form of negative wishes or “curses”, BLACK TARA, the Vajra Tara is recommended. We have a short practice here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0OTp...

TOMORROW's MUSIC RELEASE: the amazing SANSKRIT Daśacakra Kiṣitigarbha Dhāraṇī: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIm4h... Rescuing All Beings: The Sanskrit Dharani that Saves Beings on Hearing or Seeing or Chanting (This is a streaming music release only-- video to follow) (FOR A FEATURE WITH TRANSLATION OF THE SANSKRIT, see this BUDDHAWEEKLY.com feature: buddhaweekly.com/?p=28956
Shakyamuni Buddha, in Chapter 8 of the Kṣitigarbha Ten Wheels Mahāyāna Sūtra explained the benefits:
“Those beings who read it, recite it, contemplate it, teach it widely to others, or practice it purely, Kṣitigarbha protects in ten ways, working for their happiness, and guiding them for a long time.
“What are these ten? It is like this. Protect their wealth and their ways of obtaining it and do not let it diminish. Guard them from all harm and make them free from harm. Guard them from wrong views and wrong ways, and see that they eradicate the path of the ten non-virtues. Guard their bodies and speech from all harm, and make such harm nonexistent. Protect them from, and eradicate all criticism and slander. Protect them from weakening their ethics and practice. Eradicate completely all harm from spirits, all disturbance of the elements, all untimely illness, and old age. Guard them from untimely events, improper behaviour, wrong views, and epidemics. Even if they should die, protect them so that they behold the buddhas, that they are reborn in the higher realms, and that they find happiness and well-being.”
These were the unmistaken words of the Buddha.
CHANT ALONG or LISTEN -- benefits for both listening or chanting, the Sanskrit version of the Dharani sung by @3GemsBand beautifully with three of the Kiṣitigarbha mantras. HERE are the lyrics in SANSKRIT for chant along -- or just LISTEN -- since this is a Dharani that benefits just bey HEARING:

MUSIC VIDEO 1 HOUR PLAY! 🎥 🎵 Vajravarahi Vajrayogini Opening Praise and SANSKRIT 8 PRAISE MANTRAS 1 HOUR of blessing chant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jglAa...
BY POPULAR REQUEST: 🔥 1 Hour of meditative play for the 8 Mantra Dharani of the great Dakini Queen Vajravarahi, also known as Vajrayogilni. We begin with a short praise in English, with mantras of Vajravarahi between each verse, then end with the 8 Lines of Praise Dharani, the 8 short Praise Mantras to Vajravarahi -Vajrayogini.
Mantra Dharani Musical Praise to Vajravarahi, Buddhist Queen of Dakinis, also known as Vajrayogini, who is called the Enlightened Wisdom of all the Buddhas. The eight mantras are chanted in Sanskrit, introduced with a beautiful English praise to Vajravarahi based on an ancient Sanskrit praise. We end with the Name praise mantra of Varjavarahi several times.
The great Lama Yeshe described Vajrayogini as the ultimate method for modern daily life:
“The Vajrayogini yoga method is extremely powerful. It is just what we need in these degenerate times, with our delusions running rampant and our minds grasping at concretized sense pleasures. Therefore, a method such as this, which has the wisdom to transform delusions, is of the utmost need, especially as it has the profound property of becoming more powerful as delusions become stronger.”
TO FULLY PRACTICE does require empowerment, however chanting the praise mantras, which are Namo Praises are fine for anyone to chant for blessings. To do so, you visualize the field of Merit in FRONT of you, with you prostrating and making offerings to Vajravarahi.
FOR A SHORT INFORMATIVE DOCUMENTARY on Vajravarahi, see the Buddha Weekly Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPafP...
As a Dakini, her wisdom is applied in activity in your daily life. Her offering is also your good deeds, karma and merits.
#buddhistmusic #佛教誦經音樂
She is the “sarvabuddhadakini” meaning the “dakini who is the essence of all Buddhas.” It is for this reason, Vajrayogini practices are so popular today. (FOR MORE information on Vajrvarahi Vajrayogini and this praise and practice see @BuddhaWeekly video, releasing Sept 20. VIDEO HERE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPafP...
🎵🎵🎵 Song “Vajravarahi 8 Lines of Praise” Lyrics copyright @3GemsBand :
oṃ oṃ oṃ
Emaho! Shining Dakini Queen
From the dance of blissful emptiness
Transcending illusion and karma
Blissful Dakini be my Refuge
oṃ namo bhagavati vajravārāhi vaṃ huṃ huṃ phaṭ
Just as you led holy Kushali
Carrying him up to Kechara
Land of the joyful, land of great bliss
Lead me also to blissful Pureland
oṃ namo bhagavati vajravārāhi vaṃ huṃ huṃ phaṭ
Outer Mistress of Kechara
Inner Yogini of Sacred Vam
Ultimate Lady of Emptiness
I Prostrate to the Triple Goddess
oṃ namo bhagavati vajravārāhi vaṃ huṃ huṃ phaṭ
I present a cloud of offerings
To you blissful Queen of Dakinis
I give the merit of all good deeds
To the smiling lady, my yidam.
oṃ namo bhagavati vajravārāhi vaṃ huṃ huṃ phaṭ
Ema! Great Dakini Queen Hear
I sing your eight lines of praise and joy
Conquer opponents and obstacles
Wisdom Dakini, the queen of space

Guru Rinpoche’s life embodied miracles
Padmasambhava’s life was a living embodiment of the miraculous. Nothing is impossible to the fully Enlightened and marvelous Guru Rinpoche — and everything about his amazing life is a wonder. Just as Shakyamuni Buddha, the first Buddha of our age, demonstrated extraordinary phenomena, Padmasambhava personified them. Why does an Enlightened Buddha display magical feats? As “Upaya” or skillful means, or upaya-kaushalya meaning “skill in means.” In simplest terms, upaya is any activity that helps others realize enlightenment.
📅 Timeline of Guru Rinpoche
717 A.D. Birth of Guru Rinpoche in Oddiyana
747 A.D. Guru Rinpoche invited to Tibet by the King Tri Songdetsen
810 A.D. Guru Rinpoche enters Bhutan
Historically, Guru Rinpoche turned the final wheel of Dharma, popularizing the powerful methods of Buddhist Tantra. Traditionally, he is “Lotus Born” in Oddiyana, by tradition “consciously incarnated as an eight-year-old child appearing in a lotus blossom floating in Lake Dhanakosha, in the kingdom of Oddiyana.” He is the Lotus Born — born fully Enlightened.

🔥🎵 Vajrasattva 100-Syllable Sanskrit Mantra Gufeng 金剛薩埵百字明咒 古風梵音: Wish-Fulfilment, Purification
In this beautiful music video, with epic and beautiful scenes, enjoy the serene, sweetly melodic Gufeng-style chanting of the powerful Vajrasattva 100-Syllable Sanskrit mantra by @3GemsBand.
SONG AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD: "Vajrasattva 100 Syllable
Sanskrit Mantra Gufeng 金剛薩埵百字明咒 古風梵音" by 3Gems Band
🙏🙏🙏Vajrasattva mantra is one of the “foundation” practices, famous for:
🔥Wish Fulfilment
🔥Merit Accumulation
🔥Purification of Negative Karma, including Fixed Karma
🔥Siddhis
🔥Strength and Power of the Vajra (the Vow)
🎵🎵🎵 MUSIC and PERFORMANCE by 💎💎💎 @3GemsBand / @3gemsband
🙏This mantra sweeps away the obstacles, bad karma, bad luck and negativities are important on a regular basis to keep a "clean slate", and is especially important on Sacred Days each month and lunar New Year practice in Buddhism. Before any other practice, even where your Yidam is a different Buddha, it is traditional to start with Vajrasttva's 100-syllable mantra. Creating merit through this practice also creates the causes and conditions for Siddhis, and wish-fulfilment.
Vajrasattva, for many centuries, has been the “go-to” practice for Buddhists for purification practices. Since most of our progress in Buddhism relies on purification, it would be fair to say that in Vajrayana Buddhism, Vajrasattva practice is of pre-eminent importance. It is often the first deity practiced by students. In foundation practices, for Tibetan Buddhism, many schools have a requirement that the student performs 100,000 mantras of Vajrasattva; which is no small feat given the length of the mantra
🙏🙏🙏 Chant along, while keeping in mind the Four Rs of Vajrasattva Practice: Refuge, Regret, Remedy (this mantra) and Refrain from future negative conduct.
Visualize all of your negativities, obstacles and diseases purified by glowing white light, the purifying light of Vajrasattva.
🙏🙏🙏 The Mantra, in Sanskrit (with English translation in brackets) is:
🎵 oṃ
(Syllable of the vajra body (It is spelled A-U-M, which represent the body, speech and mind of the Buddha)
vajrasattva samayam anupālaya
(Great Vajra inseparable wisdom and method, protect all my commitments and vows)
vajrasattvatvenopatiṣṭha
(O Vajrasattva, may I achieve you, may I become closer to you)
dṛḍho me bhava
(Remain with me, and strengthen me)
sutoṣyo me bhava
(May you be pleased with me)
supoṣyo me bhava
(May you support me)
anurakto me bhava
(May you make me the victor with your affection)
sarva siddhiṃ me prayaccha
(Grant me all the powerful attainments and wishes)
sarvakarmasu ca me
(Grant me all the Enlightened activities )
cittaṃ śreyaḥ kuru
(Abide always in my heart)
hūṃ
(seed syllable of Enlightened Mind)
ha ha ha ha hoḥ
(Syllables of the five wisdoms (all five Buddha Family Wisdoms)
bhagavan sarva tathāgata
(Homage to all the Buddhas (sarva is all, tathagatha is “buddha”)
vajra mā me muñca
(Great Vajra, always remain with me)
vajrī bhava
(Help me hold the vajra in hand and my vajra commitment)
mahā samaya sattva
(O One with the great commitment, may this request be granted.)
āḥ
(Syllable of the vajra speech, indicating “by this sacred sound make it so.”)
THE FOUR Rs of Practice:
The Power of Dependence: Taking Refuge in the Three Jewels, Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
The Power of Regret: recalling all of our negative actions in the past motivated by ignorance, attachment or aversion.
The Power of Remedy: the mantra and visualization and mental focus on purification.
The Power of Restraint: or undertaking to refrain from creating negative karma (actions) in future.
