The Members of BONGANIME met at Kolkata International Bookfair 2026 on 1st February (Sunday) for a small Cosplay Meet & Greet in front of the stall of STORYTELLER Bookstore.
The BONGANIME members attending the Japanese Film Festival (2025-26), held recently in INOX, South City Mall, Kolkata from 30th January to 1st February, 2026.
Organised by Japan Foundation India, the initiative showcases some of the best of Japanese cinemas on Big screen.
On 31st Jan (Saturday), team BONGANIME went to watch the classic anime blockbuster "Akira" (1988), which got a re-release under this Festival in remastered theatrical format.

The BONGANIME Community conducted their first Movie Meetup of 2026, after watching "Jujutsu Kaisen : Hidden Inventory / Premature Death" Movie in INOX, South City Mall, Kolkata on 3rd January, 2026.
The Movie was a recap of the events shown in the "Hidden Inventory" arc from Season 2 of "Jujutsu Kaisen" TV Anime.
This recap movie had a limited release in India on 1st January, 2026 through PVR Pictures ( @PVRPictures )
Experienced it just before the 3rd season of the anime dropped in on 8th January, 2026 🔥
Team BONGANIME conducted a small meetup for "Chainsaw Man - The Movie : Reze Arc" in 3D format on 2nd November, 2025 at INOX, South City Mall, Kolkata.
As 2025 comes to an end, we look back at one of our biggest milestones.
✨ Our special screening of the "Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle" movie on 14th September 2025 at PVR Mani Square, Kolkata — turned out to be the largest and most successful BONGANIME event of the year.
With 300+ anime fans under one roof, cosplay, community energy, and an unforgettable theatrical experience, this screening truly showed how strong and passionate the anime community in Kolkata is.
