Hidden work matters to heaven. The quiet effort. The unseen serving. The nights you stayed faithful when no one was watching. Those moments, matter to heaven.
Pastor Ruth Gardner Damare' hired the Mission Media Team to help bring her God-given vision to life. As she steps into leading her church in this new season, she wanted a fresh start â a new name, a new look, and a new identity that reflects the heart of her mission: âA place of wholeness, a church to call home.â
We are partnering with Community Refuge to make that vision a reality. Starting completely from scratch, we created: ⨠A bold and modern logo + branding package ⨠A full color and font system that reflects her vision ⨠A professional presentation and signage suite to help cast vision to her congregation ⨠A consistent, unified look that balances modern creativity with their roots in faith
This is only the first step â with many exciting things still to come. Weâre continuing to work alongside Pastor Ruth Damare and Community Refuge to develop content, graphics, and media strategy that will help them reach their community and create a place where people can be made whole.
Have you ever felt proud just for starting something God told you to doâonly to realize later that you never actually finished it?
Starting takes faith, but finishing takes surrender. Saul started well in battle but stopped short of full obedienceâand God called it rebellion. Jesus, on the other hand, didnât stop at the garden, the beatings, or even the cross. He endured every step so He could say, âIt is finished.â
Partial obedience may look good from the outside, but it misses the heart of what God desires: full trust. We donât just say âyesâ at the altarâwe say âyesâ when itâs hard, when no one is watching, when the cost gets heavy.
Donât let comfort rob you of completion. The calling on your life isnât just to begin with passionâbut to finish with purpose.
đ Scripture: âBut as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.â â2 Chronicles 15:7
Lord, give me the strength to finish what You started in me. Help me obey when itâs costly, to trust when Iâm tired, and to stay the course until You say, âWell done.â Amen.
đ Devotion: âWhen Worship Looks Like Obedienceâ Weâre so used to outcomes. We measure almost everything by what we get out of it. Go to workâget a paycheck. Exerciseâgain strength. Serveâreceive recognition. Even in our spiritual lives, we often fall into the trap of looking for return on investment.
But real obedienceâthe kind that moves heavenâdoesnât always come with a payout. Sometimes, God calls us to trust without clarity, to give without gain, and to follow even when thereâs no visible reward.
This kind of obedience is pure worship. It says, âI donât need a miracle to prove Youâre good. I donât need applause to feel seen. I donât need the outcomeâI just need to honor You.â
Esther understood this. She didnât obey because she was promised protection. She said, âIf I perish, I perish.â That wasnât defeatâit was surrender. A heart fully yielded to the will of God, no strings attached.
Obedience without benefit is a declaration that God is worthy, not because of what He gives, but because of who He is.
đŹ Reflection: Have I been obeying God for what He can give meâor simply because Heâs worthy?
What is one area where Iâm being called to obey, even without a guarantee?
đ Prayer: âFather, I want to worship You with more than my wordsâI want to worship You with my obedience. Help me follow You not for what I get, but for who You are. Even when thereâs no visible reward, I choose to say yes. You are worthy of it all. In Jesusâ name, Amen.â #TheMissionMediaTeam#Christianity#God#Jesus#BibleStudy#Devotion
đ Devotion: âTry Againâwith Jesus in the Boatâ
Scripture: Luke 5:5 (CSB) â âMaster, weâve worked hard all night and caught nothing. But if You say so, Iâll let down the nets.â
Weâve all been thereâexhausted, disappointed, ready to pack it in. Peter had spent the entire night fishing with zero results. Logic told him to quit. Experience told him it was pointless. But Jesus said, âTry again.â And this time, everything changed.
The difference wasnât the strategyâit was the Savior. Jesus got in the boat, and Peter obeyed. That simple act of trust led to nets so full they nearly broke.
Some of us are standing on the shore of our calling, weary from trying and failing. But Jesus is saying, âLetâs go again.â Your past efforts werenât wastedâthey prepared you to recognize what obedience really looks like.
Obedience doesnât always feel sensibleâbut itâs always powerful when itâs surrendered. What matters is who is in your boat.
Lord, Iâm tired of trying without You. Help me trust Your voice over my own logic. Even when it doesnât make sense, I want to follow. If You say so, Iâll go againâwith faith, not frustration. In Jesusâ name, Amen.
Have you ever felt worn out trying to âget it rightâ with God? You start strong, then fail again. You recommit, only to feel disappointed in yourself a week later. The harder you try, the more you feel stuck.
Hereâs the truth: Holiness isnât about trying harderâitâs about trusting deeper.
We donât produce holiness by sheer willpower. We walk in holiness by learning to trust the grace of God as our strength, not just our covering. Holiness is not the result of discipline aloneâit is the fruit of surrender.
Paul said it this way in 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NLT): "Each time He said, 'My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.' So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me."
Trying harder leads to burnout. Trusting deeper leads to breakthrough.
When you truly trust God, you stop striving for approval and start living from the identity Heâs already given youâholy, set apart, and dearly loved. And from that place of trust, grace flowsânot just to forgive you, but to empower you to walk in freedom.
đ Prayer: âLord, Iâve tried to do this on my ownâand Iâve fallen short. I choose today to stop striving and start trusting. Thank You for the grace that not only forgives me but empowers me to walk in Your holiness. I lean into Your strength and surrender my need to perform. In Jesusâ name, Amen.â
Holiness isnât a status to sit inâitâs a pursuit to run after.
When we come to Jesus, we are made righteous in position, but thatâs not the endâitâs the beginning of a journey. Holiness is not just something we are, itâs something we live. Itâs not about having the label "holy," itâs about walking in the behavior of the holy, day by day.
As Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 7:1 (NLT): "Because we have these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit. And let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God."
Holiness is not a restrictionâitâs an invitation. An invitation to deeper intimacy with God, to walk in step with His Spirit, to live free from the things that used to entangle us. We donât chase the position of holinessâwe already have that in Christ. But we pursue the practice of holiness because we love Him and revere Him.
And here's the truth: no behavioral holiness, no seeing the Lord. Not because God is harsh, but because His presence is holy. He reveals Himself to those who walk in reverent obedience.
Jesus said it this way in John 14:21 (NLT): "Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them."
To see Godâto know Him deeplyâwe must surrender to the refining process of holiness. Letâs not settle for a surface relationship when weâve been invited into something sacred. Letâs pursue Him with our whole hearts.
đ Prayer: âFather, I donât want to just claim holinessâI want to live it. Help me cleanse my life of anything that doesnât align with You. Thank You for saving me and calling me into Your presence. Teach me to walk in holy fear and to pursue You with everything I am. In Jesusâ name, Amen.â
đ Week 3 â Day 4: Finishing Well
"The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever." â Psalm 19:9

đĽ Starting strong is easy, but finishing well takes holy fear. Many peopleâleaders, ministers, and believersâbegin their journey with zeal, but over time, some fall into complacency, deception, or sin. The difference between those who endure and those who fall away is not talent or passionâitâs the fear of the Lord.
âĄď¸ Lucifer fell because he lacked holy fear. Adam and Eve walked with God, but they didnât remain in His presence because they didnât fear Him. Those who stay close to God for eternity will be those who revere Him.
đ Reflect on this:
1ď¸âŁ Have I prioritized finishing well over passion?
2ď¸âŁ In what areas of my life do I need to embrace the fear of the Lord more deeply?
đ Week 3 â Day 3: The Missing Key to Holiness
"Work out your salvation with fear and trembling." â Philippians 2:12
đ Get your copy of The Awe of God by John Bevere: amzn.to/3Fmt4ix
đĽ Loving Jesus isnât enoughâwe must fear Him. One well-known evangelist, after falling into sin and ending up in prison, said something shocking: âI never fell out of love with Jesus⌠I just didnât fear God.â
This is the danger of lacking holy fearâit leads us straight into deception. Proverbs 16:6 says, âBy the fear of the Lord one departs from evil.â If we truly fear the Lord, we wonât just believe in Himâwe will live in obedience to Him.
đ Profession of Faith:
"Lord, I refuse to live a life where I love You but donât fear You. Fill me with holy fear so I will love righteousness and hate sin. Keep me on the path that leads to life. In Jesus' name, Amen."
đ Week 3 â Day 2: The Danger of Entitlement
đĽ Entitlement is a dangerous trap. It whispers, âIâve done enough for GodâI deserve a little compromise.â But God calls us to holiness, not as a suggestion, but as a command. "Be holy, because I am holy." (1 Peter 1:16 NKJV)
Peter, once fearful of others' opinions, later wrote: "Donât slip back into your old ways⌠Your heavenly Father doesnât have favorites. He will judge or reward you according to what you do." (1 Peter 1:14, 17)
đ Reflect on this:
1ď¸âŁ Have I allowed entitlement to justify compromise in my life?
2ď¸âŁ Am I living in reverent fear of God or slipping into lawlessness?
đ Prayer:
"Lord, I choose to live in reverent fear, obeying You in all things. I embrace Your love and Your holy fear, staying on the path of life. In Jesus' name, Amen."
