Here's my first talking video on here👋 I thought now would be a good time to introduce myself properly and to share a little about myself and how I got into wildlife photography!
Thanks to global conservation efforts they have officially been declared as “Least Concern” 👏🏼 They were listed as endangered back in the 1980’s; they were over hunted for their meat to make turtle soup, and their eggs were classed as a delicacy and used as decorations. Their numbers are still lower than the desired amount as they still face threats like habitat loss, pollution and being caught as bycatch - as well as a process called “Temperature-Dependent Gender Determination” with cooler temperatures typically producing males and warmer temperatures producing females, so every egg that hatches in the same region will all be either males or females depending on the temperature of the sand. This means that as global temperatures rise, many more females are being born than males, which results in an imbalance in genders and ultimately a population decline.
This is why it’s so important to continue to help them however we can and spread the awareness on what challenges they face as a species.
As the end of 2025 approaches I’m looking back over some of my favourite images of the year and getting so excited for what 2026 has in store! I’m gping all in with my photography next year; I’ve set myself a goal to post at least 3x a week, so I better get out there and take lots more photos and videos!

Female Kestrel - still one of my favourite wildlife moments, she had young ones in the bush next to her, teaching them how to hunt and feed! She let me get so close and was completely unbothered by me
