Looking for feedback from my viewers. I'm thinking about starting an online Straight Pool contest. Similar to what has been done on the Facebook "Playing the Ghost" page in the past. The goal is to promote Straight Pool, get more people playing, and improving.

The contest would be professionally run with full transparency of entry videos and prize payouts. Players would Livestream their play to a dedicated Youtube channel where all can watch, chat and learn. Robust Fargo scores would be used to group players into three skill levels - intermediate, advanced and pro.

The intermediate level players would play Equal Offense, a version of Straight Pool where you play 10 innings with a maximum possible score of 200 points. Advanced and pro levels would play a set number innings starting with a ball-in-hand break shot. (Just like they used to do at Derby City).

Each contest would last about one month, giving everyone ample time to complete their Livestream attempts. And the opportunity for players worldwide to compete against each other, improve their game, and grow the game of Straight Pool. Leave your comments!
