Day 31 / 60-Day Challenge

“Product Weekly Update #4”

This week we released the Android version & LP! 🎉

What I’ve learned from build in public 👇
✅ Screen sharing > Talking head
✅ Full-image backgrounds > Text-only posts
✅ build in public isn’t just about outreach—it also creates real deadlines for the team
✅ Hidden izakaya interviews in Shibuya > Product walkthrough videos (in terms of reach)

Since this is a product for travelers, the next step is figuring out how to engage traveler audiences more ✈️

👉 What kind of content do you think resonates most with travelers?

(Not great at social media… would love any advice 🙏)

GPT-5 is undeniably powerful.
But while traveling, the one I actually wanted to use was GPT-4o.

We tested 4 AIs to help us find a place for our team dinner in Kawaguchiko 👇
・GPT-4o
・GPT-5
・Claude
・Gemini

What we realized:
When you’re on a journey, what you really want… is kindness.

Please don’t kill GPT-4o.
We need it.

Which model do you love the most right now?
Reply or drop a comment — I’d love to hear your thoughts.

🗺️ Our map used to be hard to read.

We customized the style via Google Maps Platform and it’s instantly clearer.

Honestly, it feels like a guy who only ever went to the school barbershop finally visiting a good salon—a total glow-up. AI suggestions were meh, so We finished it by hand. And, We ship this to the Test Flight already.

What do you think?

🎨 We’ve updated our map pin direction while staying aligned with the overall VI tone.

・Shifted to a warmer, friendlier style—closer to Homii’s concept and more welcoming for solo female travelers.
・Took cues from tourist map aesthetics. 🗺️
・Created/controlled the illustrations using Illustrator’s AI vector generation, so we can fine-tune details. ✍️📍

Day 5 / 60 days.

Forget 100,10000 casual users—touch one deeply

If you’re hiding behind investor frameworks or building features you wouldn’t use yourself, that’s a warning sign.
Start to design the ultimate experience for a single super-fan first.

The trick: get your hands dirty and do something that exceeds their wildest expectations before scale it.

Following
@plahteenlahti
’s advice to “meet customers,” I roamed Shibuya, pitched every passer-by I could, got the most excited one to pre-register on the spot, and treated him to celebratory tsukemen right after.

Day 4 / 60 days.

Are you really talking to your customers?

In my latest video, I interviewed
@plahteenlahti
about how to validate the idea and
@MattBerryRC
about sponsers.

Focus on your customers.
You might think, “Isn’t that obvious?” Yet the rhythm of speaking with customers runs far deeper than it looks. The smallest, most mundane repetitions create the biggest breakthroughs.

Because we crave quick reassurance—and secretly fear rejection—we’re tempted to test ideas by asking friends, investors, or “smart” people for their opinions. That’s a red flag. The fate of any idea depends entirely on customers.

If you don’t understand your customers—if you’re not building something they truly love—then it won’t matter how famous your investors are, how much money you’ve raised, how impressive your team’s titles sound, or how large your company becomes. None of that counts in the eyes of the customer, and customer insight is a non-negotiable.

In the end, there is only one way to validate an idea: talk to customers relentlessly and keep every ounce of attention on them.

Put on your customer’s shoes—and stay there.
