Operation 8-Bit is a grass-roots not for profit group that helps to support charities like by raising funds through the restoration and resale of classic computers and video games.

Many of our restorations are filmed and the videos posted here to YouTube. In these videos we discuss the history of the machines, and the process it takes to bring them back to their original glory.

Operation 8-Bit

After a long hiatus, we are seriously thinking about coming back to the channel. As part of that we have been playing with YouTube Shorts to see how well they do.

We just release three new ones that we titles "The Enduring Legacy of ZORK"
youtube.com/shorts/8SnSFHNJmD...
youtube.com/shorts/2rKEgjPT9l...
youtube.com/shorts/1sxVsgEMyN...

The plan isn't to move to that video format exclusively, it's just an experiment as we test the waters to see if the channel is still relevant given the crowded field of creators for this topic and if the new format is interesting.

So with that said, how about some real time feedback from all of you?

How do you like the Shorts so far?

Operation 8-Bit

How do other allied countries observe the end of WW I and WW II? Keep an eye out for a new short that will release tomorrow November 11, at 11:11 AM EST (IYKNK) to see what we found out.

Hopefully we got the facts right on this one, otherwise the comments from across the pond are going to be insane.

Not for nothing... we tried.

Check out our latest short on a brief history of Veterans Day. A little off topic, but as a channel dedicated to helping to support Junior Enlisted Military Members and their families, we don't think it's that much of a stretch.
