Many years ago I saw one of these up close and personal while on Grate Gable doing a scramble called Threading the Needle. It finished behind Napes Needle which just so happens to be the birth of Rock Climbing as a sport in 1886.
While a mate and I were scrambling behind Napes Needle one of these Bad Boys came "eye to eye" with us thinking we were in trouble. We tried to signal that we were fine however getting my 35mm pocket camera out and taking a role of film gave them the hint.
They found their casualty further up behind Great Gable. Some poor soul broke his leg.
I have not taken many images this year. But surely being a Wing Walker is a great job. One of my images from Sunday's Southport Airshow. Please check this image out on my Flickr account. Same name as my YouTube account. Nice and simple.
These are my two favourite images of the year so far. Which one do you like? Maybe you could tell me why you like the image.
The first is a sunset where my sister lives in a village near Seville in Spain. And the second image is of a military aircraft in training. It was my first ever successful attempt to capture in-camera motion blur of the propeller while getting a pin-sharp Texan II aircraft.
I seem to have the bug for taking photos at the moment, rather than filming stuff. I hope you don't mind me sharing a few images of the baby birds at my local park. Please let me know what you think of them.

Thought I'd have my first ever go at Live Composite on my camera. What do you think of it?

Went to Southport Air Show at the weekend and the Swordfish has to be one of my favourite aircraft of the day.
