So how's it going guys?

Work in progress for Don't Listen is growing slowly, and also one of the hardest covers I've ever done, As I've had to work with 2 dialogue, 2 vocals, a harmony and a screamo after dissecting the track further. I'm gonna have to browse my old laptop for the screamo presets and hopefully find a harmony voice, most likely going to be the BF voice in my latest monster covers.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for the support for the Keep On Cleaning Cover!! I am not expecting this cover to overtake my originals after my hiatus due to final exams!



Covers were my life, they helped me brought me to the spotlight I am now, though as you have noticed that last year I did not upload many covers, this is because I only prioritized the Monster covers since I knew that's what most of my audience wants. I started coming back to my covers on other fandoms considering this channel is going empty. I even made Marshmallow's JPN cover singer reprised their role when I finally feel safe in using them.



Let's get to the real news I have to break it to you.



Around a month ago when I was about to upload the cover of Keep On Cleaning, I had noticed that YouTube decided to demonetize my channel for reused content, which means that content I produced did not have substantial changes for it to be transformative and worthy of monetization. I was taken aback with shock and sadness hearing that. However, after thinking long and hard...,



I decided to not appeal their decision.



This mainly stems from a few key points.

1. If you seen the current landscape regarding A.I. covers, it's pretty clear that the technology is getting really advanced, more advanced than my NEUTRINO covers and the channel felt like it was missing out. Thankfully, I never thought of jumping onto that trend AT ALL due to legal concerns of using voices of real life people / characters voiced by real people without their consent. If anything, the covers with the voicebanks I used, that were voiced by people who consented for it to be used as an AI voicebank, were actually made since late 2020, 2 years before that became a trend in the first place. But even so I still have a bit of a fear that people can think I'm making a channel that gets the best of everything without really putting enough effort cuz technically an AI voicebank is used for the cover, to the point I started to doing flashy and stylistic lyric videos in order to compensate the lack of effort.

2. I do not feel like it's worth to get a channel that had overstayed its welcome on what made it successful in the first place any form of chance, granted I could not even stick to a consistent upload schedule, and if you see how Keep on Cleaning cover and Boogieman cover performed you will see this channel might not need to have one.

3. I do not feel like my channel is enough to convince the youtube team that I put enough effort into making these covers that gives me monetization no matter how good the video editing as the singing is the main point. Even so, Let me tell you what. Making Japanese covers of English songs is NOT easy. I have to make sure the lyrics flow well, scour through similar wording sentences like a thesaurus so they can rhyme and have the same syllable count as the line in the original, AND (in my case, no need to copy this step) make sure the length in previous line in a stanza is the same as the current one.

4. Sometimes trying to beyond the appeal and go to twitter about how this demonetization reason is absurd can actually worsen things! Worst case scenario I might not even be able to make a new channel at all from ban evasion in case channel gets terminated!!!!

But that's also not counting the amount of audio mixing, video editing, time for re-renders due to misspellings and all that bullcrap. Occasionally some songs become lyric videos out of passion or suffer from technical and/or skillset difficulties which makes it real hard and/or frustrating especially from someone with very little knowledge of lyric video making at the time apart from changing text with little to no transitions or even having the unedited video / song cover art in. For example:

-. The Boogieman cover took 2 months due to me being so inexperienced in After effects I stuck on being on Premiere. A program that has proven to have WAY less creative and flashy lyric video capabilities than After Effects. That's why the shake is weird due to my version of premiere having no wiggle function.
-. Keep On Cleaning had to survive having the storyboard accidentally getting wiped, and a lot of time scouring through after effects tutorials due to me having very zero clue as to how all the transitioning works

-. The public version of the Feaster cover, that had lyric errors, was actually done in one render without checking for missing lyrics because I was using my old laptop which couldn't even preview due to the sheer amount of effects I used in the video for all the pizzazz I wanted to convey. That ONE render took 5-6 hours alone even on Adobe Media Encoder and it was during a school week if I remember correctly. Additionally the version of Adobe Premiere I used didn't have text layers and text stuff is only restricted to Titles. Great. Awesome.

There's more I could convey but I would be here all day.

This channel will remain so that people can show how I started in the content creator landscape. Future content here other than covers will either be a burnoff to songs I no longer proud enough to release to my new channel or finishing the Hotline 024 JPN dub that I delayed indefinitely.


There are 3 covers that will remain in this channel and here's why.

Shiver from B-sides : This was a remix, and the song and lyrics are all finished, just the video that is remaining. The song is finished in october of last year and is planned to be the fitting end to monster covers as I grew a disinterest with this being the last one that interests me before burning out.

Don't Listen by Jakeneutron: Originally scrapped but when Jakeneutron finally added the textless version it saved it from being in the trash since I could finally put my vision of what they lyric video in my mind would be without the text version putting blockades to it.

To you by OR3O in clover: This was sitting in my notes for a long while but I decided this would come last with September 29th being the best deadline as it is the anniversary I uploaded my very first cover AND it is the only song in the series excluding the intro that I haven't covered yet.

Hell, A compilation of remakes of the entire clover series and/or the monster cover series might even be posted to memorialize of how I started, how I blew up and how I ended my time here. But I can't promise anything.

My usage of NEUTRINO will not end. My lyric conversion skills will not end. I believe they just need to be in a new suitable place. And that's what I set out to do.

Also, if you do not know I am starting to be a Geometry dash player, with me beating Acropolis. I might make a new channel specifically for that but I already wasted my energy writing this post by this point.

The new channel I made now is to built to showcase my original works, or remasters of original works. Remixes too if I am comfortable showing that to my new channel. This was originally made solely as a backup channel to prevent hacks but I decided to use it now.

In any case I thank everyone for sticking around me for nearly 3 years. I really hope what original songs I can make for the new future!
