i know people often advise "fake it til you make it", but this method often falls through for most people because of one simple reason. the assumption, "fake it til you make it", is the same as the assumption, "i do not have my desire; thus, i must pretend that i have it".
if you already have your desire, you wouldn't have to brag or affirm out loud or even post about it. you just have it, and people already know that you have it. it's already real, and it always has been, so it just is. lots of energy isn't wasted this way, and you can literally just live your life comfortably because... you have your desire! why fake it if it exists?
this is why it's possible to have humble, rich friends or relatives who are clearly affluent but generous and down to earth. they already know and everyone already knows, so why flaunt it? same goes for model-pretty people with golden hearts. why should someone state the obvious? if the sky is blue, and you are rich, what's new? see where i am heading with this?
so live with your desire. don't talk about it, don't preach about it, and don't fish for compliments about it (we've all done it once). just be real and lax about it, and watch your desires become real in tandem. no need to forcefully detach. just be happy that you already have your desire.
accept that your fears will come true, and when your fall from grace just let yourself fall. fall. fall.
fear is debilitating enough to sever connections with others and ourselves. fear can make us resent how we look— "how will people view me if i wear this?"— who we are— "what if my family knew?"— and what we believe— "i want to pursue my dream and i feel like i can do it, but what if the logistics are true?".
so when people say "do it scared", they are saying "set yourself free". don't fight for what you want— fall deeper and deeper into the reality of it. you don't need to do a damn thing for your desires except for embodying them. fall. fall. fall. and be scared. terrified. uncertain.
this 3d reality is your second brain. as long as you act on you fear, your reality will mirror your fear. get stupid. get weird. get ugly. most importantly— take risks. to trust your intution is to trust that you will take the correct risks.
go out and take pictures on a bad hair day. bother your loved ones. leave the dishes for tomorrow. sing at night. dance on the street. blow some cash. drink on a weekday. kiss a stranger. get controversial.
watch yourself fall. fall. fall to the top. so get worse, because why are you working to be better if you are already the best?
