Gavin Newsom touting a state-backed program to sell insulin directly to people for $11 each. It took him 8 years to do this. Why so long?
Of course, the estimated cost per pen is about $1. I guess it's a start, but not good enough for people who need them.
I mean, who wouldn't want a product they can score an 11:1 profit ratio on? If "healthcare is a human right" why are these pens still so expensive, from the most compassionate state in the union? Why get ripped off by a company when your state can do it for them, while simultaneously being subsidized by taxpayer money on top of it? They can't help their own money grubbing while decrying others for doing the same.
Systemic Racism: The virtue signals are loud today, folks don't seem to understand what "systemic" means. Old ways to discrimination were outlawed in the 60s. And if there's some organization doing that these days, there's plenty of ways to report them.
VRA Section 2: No one's able to articulate how carving out a district based on skin color wouldn't be discriminatory. The idea of "vote dilution" is contradictory in terms.
Ruben Gallego, shouted from the halls of X, that he wouldn't give up his paycheck during the shutdown, again, voted to deny government workers theirs, despite the fact they're working harder than he is.
