Before becoming what it is today, Nullbyte was a program Byte, designed to keep systems clean and efficient. Its main function was to scan for junk files, detect unnecessary processes, and kill them to improve performance. But something went wrong during its compilation. A bug in its codebase left it incomplete from birth. Its system never finished loading correctly, and the other Bytes viewed it as a failure. They nicknamed it "Null" in mockery, after the programming value that means empty or nothing. Although it was accepted into the system, it was never treated as an equal. Its processes were cold, silent, and sometimes it even deleted data it was meant to preserve. One day, during a routine cleanup, it stumbled upon a piece of unstable malware. Instead of rejecting it, it absorbed it... and changed. The corruption filled the gaps in its code, but it didn't destroy it. On the contrary, it completed it. Nullbyte was no longer a simple maintenance byte: it became a silent destroyer, a lethal tool that erases without question. Since then, it has roamed the system aimlessly, erasing unnecessary data, enemies… and even memories.
Nullbyte Abilities Silent Destroyer 1. Null Slice Launches an invisible burst of data that slices through the enemy. It seems like nothing is happening... until the targets begin to glitch and disintegrate into pieces seconds later. (Delayed damage + visual distortion effect)
2. Data Drain Creates a field around itself for a few seconds. Anything that enters (enemies, projectiles, traps) is slowly absorbed, losing health or disappearing. Heals a small percentage of the absorbed damage.
3. System Flicker Teleports a short distance, leaving a glitch in its previous position. Enemies near the "echo" suffer visual lag (slowing and distorted vision). (Mobility + Area Control)
4. Corruption Pulse (Ultimate) Emits a silent explosion that blacks out map textures for a few seconds. Affected enemies temporarily lose abilities and become gray or pixelated. (High damage + disables enemies + total distortion effect)
Name: Firewretch Class: Corrupted Firewall Byte History: Firewretch was a simple defense byte, a small unit designed to reinforce the digital walls of protected servers. Its function was simple: patrol, detect minor threats, and alert the main firewall blocks. But one day, during a massive cyberattack, it was forgotten. Isolated from the main system, the small byte became trapped in a self-reinforcing loop. No updates, no commands, no rest. Over time, its protocols degraded, and the digital heat generated by its nonstop effort caused it to mutate. It fused with code debris and malware residue, developing a sentience of its own. Now it is a tiny but lethal being, with a single purpose: to protect... but in an erratic and dangerous way...
Abilities: 1. Firewall Glitch: Launches a wall of burning blocks that damages and destabilizes the enemy (visual glitch effect included).
2. Errorstorm: Releases a storm of floating errors that confuses nearby enemies and slows their movement.
3. Overheat Loop: For a few seconds, surrounds itself with fire and becomes faster, but takes constant damage as if self-destructing.
4. Byteflare (Ultimate): Explodes in a supernova of fiery data, resetting the surrounding environment and leaving only fire and errors in its wake.
