CALTON HILL, EDINBURGH - FOR FANTASTIC VIEWS & SUNSETS of EDINBURGH
If you're visiting Edinburgh, I always recommend visiting Calton Hill in the city centre for incredible views of the city and some striking architecture. Some of the sunsets (like in the picture above) can be absolutely wonderful.
Formed from volcanic activity 340 million years ago, Calton Hill was one of Britain's first public parks and is now home to The Collective - a charity dedicated to showing contemporary art in the old observatory. There's a public loo there (underneath the restaurant) and you can get a coffee & a snack at the kiosk at the entrance to the collective. So grab a coffee and chill out for a while :-)
