This is a channel by Spencer Campbell about frugality, anti-consumerism, and appropriate use of technology. I love road tripping, van life, and simple living. If I review a product it is because I think it will be a truly Buy-It-For-Life (BIFL) item and it will be the last time you'll buy that item. I want long-lastingness and quality from the items I consume, and I will speak to that. I am also interested in alternative lifestyle options and my intention is to provide information around these topics in an authentic way.

Look what showed up 🎉
Back when I went to film school in 2018, they asked us on the intake form what we hoped to get out of the program.
I told them I wanted to make YouTube videos.
Thank you to all who’ve come along for the adventure so far - very grateful to have reached this milestone!

Merry Christmas folks!
To anyone who celebrates I hope it’s wonderful. And for those who don’t - still enjoy a bit of time off!
There will be no new video this week but here’s a few photos of how I did my Christmas gifting this year.
- Boxes and papers for wrapping were saved from parcels delivered in mail over the last few months (the brown paper is packing paper)
- I always paint my cards which people appreciate for the personal touch. It’s just a cut up piece of watercolour paper for the stock
- This year only a small handful of items were purchased new (I believe 3 items). The rest were secondhand. This isn’t even to save money in many cases, but to have access to certain items that are less readily available otherwise (DVD copy of someone’s favourite movie for example)
