In 1901, JP morgan invested $150,000 (about five million today) to fund Nikola Tesla to build a global wireless telegraphy network, communication through radio waves - Working on this technology, Tesla became convinced he could tap into the electromagnetic field of the earth to create an everlasting and infinite, abundant, non resource needed source of energy that would power the world

Morgan balked; he’d invested for communication profits, not free global energy. He famously asked:

“If anyone can draw on the power, where do we put the meter?”

He withdrew all funding and support and much of teslas work was abandoned, and years after his death, some of it was missing or destroyed.

The issue was, if something is not finite - it is much harder to put a price tag on. JP morgan withdrew support - and Tesla - in the following years, efforts were made to publicly harm his public image.

Nikola Tesla was the man that brought us the complete architecture for the AC current system - every home, city, and nation uses AC grids based on Tesla’s principles - in some ways, he birthed the 21st century.
He harnessed and tamed one of the most enigmatic forces in our reality - electricity.

The residual result of creating a global abundant energy source would, in the right value system, help end resource based conflict, create such an incredible degree of abundance - lead to new technologies, may open up doors to the possibility of more effective interplanetary exploration, the possibilities and opportunities stretch as far as our imagination.

One of the main things that stands in the way of such explorations to this day is human kinds relationship to profit and power.

Our relationship with profit is keeping us infants, and sabotaging our own progress.
