A little life update... I’ve been juggling work and school while prepping for my next field research trip! 🥵😴🧐 I am hoping to be able to upload again soon but please stay patient! To say I’ve been busy is an understatement! Meanwhile, here’s a pic of me working with Oscar the Tawny Frogmouth! 🦉
So, what’s a Tawny Frogmouth? Most people think she’s an owl because of her look, but she’s actually part of the nightjar family. She has these huge eyes that help her see in the dark like an owl 👀, but there’s a big difference... Swipe to the next photo to see! 🫣😂
Yep, you saw that right... her mouth kind of looks like a muppet! This helps her keep it open at night, showing off a bright yellow color that attracts insects like moths. 💡
