My thoughts after 16 years…

In the first picture, I was in Class 8 at Misali Public Middle School, Murree Campus. My parents came to pick me up after the summer vacations. Life was simple back then. The only thing on my mind was enjoyment, and honestly, those 7 days with my family were some of the happiest moments of my life. ❤️

In the second picture, I still look happy from the outside - sitting in Crown holding a cold coffee, and a fake smile. But this time, life is different. My taxi was in the rank, responsibilities were waiting too, and like many international students, there are countless thoughts and pressures that people rarely talk about.

Alhamdulillah, Allah has blessed me with educational progress, some decent savings, and the opportunity to explore a few first world countries. But one thing I’ve learned is:

Every stage of life comes with its own “OPPORTUNITY COST”.
Sometimes you sacrifice comfort for success.
Sometimes you leave happiness behind to build a better future.
And sometimes, the smile stays the same while the battles completely change.

Nothing in life comes free. Effort, sacrifice, patience, and faith - that’s the real price behind every achievement. 🤍

مجھے بہت اچھا لگا، دل کی بات تو یہی ہے۔ اور ایسا لگے بھی کیوں نہ، جب آپ کا کوئی پیارا آپ کو اس طرح کی تصویر بھیجے کہ جس میں آپ ایک لمحے کے لیے محسوس کریں کہ آپ بھی خانہ کعبہ ہیں، تو یہ احساس واقعی بہت نایاب ہوتا ہے۔

مجھے یاد آ رہا ہے کہ پہلی بار رائے وقاص نے جب عمرہ کیا۔ ایک دن اچانک اس کی ویڈیو کال آئی، کیونکہ مجھے اندازہ نہیں تھا کہ وہ کب جائے گا۔ حالانکہ ہماری عام طور پر صرف آڈیو کال ہی ہوتی ہے۔ اس نے بیک کیمرے سے مدینہ شریف کی زیارت کروائی۔ آپ یقین کریں، مجھے لگا جیسے میں بھی وہیں موجود ہوں۔

اور آج رائے سمیع صاحب، جو میرے کزن ہیں اور آج کل انگلینڈہوتے ہیں، انہوں نے یہ تصویر بھیجی۔۔۔
بھائی، آپ کا بہت شکریہ کہ آپ نے یاد رکھا، وہ بھی ایسے لمحے میں۔ یہی چیزیں رشتوں کو خاص بناتی ہیں اور اللّٰہ ہمیں بھی توفیق دے کہ ہم بھی خانۂ کعبہ کی زیارت نصیب کر سکے۔
