Live stream tonight @ 7pm - I attempt to put a wet solder puddle on the top heatsinks (aluminum) using a hot plate, heatgun, file and Indium solder. #synthdiy #soldering #indium #heatsink

From the new power supply... it is being assembled by little mice in my house now =)
I have never seen anyone use a *dual* full wave rectifier setup before. It uses 8 diodes instead of 4, and two identical transformers. 4 diodes make + and gnd and the other 4 nake gnd and -
Great shout out to brenda and sandelinos on Christian BlÄsol's discord. If you haven't seen Christian's videos check them out on his synth diy channel, join us on discord!

The case is "finished" as in functional. I will post a video going over the process and decisions made during co structure and the features soon!

Back in action. The website is back up:

Synth, recording and solder stations are in full swing!

Also, Cowboy loves the new deck. I don't know how he tolerates the 95 degree days but he loves it. He has water and I check on him frequently.

the2dcour.com will be on a brief hiatus as I relocate, as will orders and videos. Mailing my last order tomorrow then off I go.

New project! I call it a VCR, or Voltage Controlled Resistor.

This project aims to be a sub module or circuit that allows you to drop in a 9 bit 0-5v voltage to resistance/attenuation with little added cost or bulk. The module size is 17x24mm or just under 1x1 inch.

The circuit requires a dual supply and ground.
It provides:
1 CV input 0-5v
1 buffered signal input
1 buffered signal output
4 GPIO pins including I2C

It is a VCA that fits on your VCA with just 3 jacks and power, at less than 2hp wide it easily fits on all but the smallest projects.

It is meant to be put in any module where you would like easy CV control over a signal with reasonable (9bit, or 1 step/10mV) digital accuracy.

I have been distracted from the LoFi Looper project by this and other things.

Good news is the looper is "finished" if you don't want a latching record button that resets. The latch currently is an optional part of the circuit, it will latch but not reset.

V3.1 of the LoFi Looper schematic is uploaded to the2dcour.com. I added an input buffer and attenuator as well as a reset trigger that will reset the loop using a 1v+ trigger. The old BOM and PCB layout are out of date, do not use except for reference.

The2dcour.com for more details.
FREE v2.0 boards still available!
