When I told my parents I wanted to be a physicist, they said:

"Are you aware your friends in engineering will make 10x your salary? Are you okay with that?"

My father's advice wasn't to "follow your passion." It was to "take a calculated risk".

A powerful story about making big life choices.

We are truly honoured to share that the new "My Life in Science" interview with Professor Atish Dabholkar is now published.

His journey is remarkable: from a small village in Maharashtra to the frontiers of string theory, he shares the incredible story of how Ramanujan's math helped unlock a black hole mystery. It was a privilege to hear his story.

It is with a heavy heart and profound sadness that I share the news of the passing of Professor Naresh Dadhich on November 6th.

I am deeply saddened by this immense loss. As many of you know, I had the great privilege of hosting Professor Dadhich for a "My Life in Science" interview. His warmth, humility, and intellectual clarity were just as remarkable as his contributions to physics.

As one community member rightly shared, he was "an honest scientist in the purest sense" and a deep inspiration to generations of students and colleagues. His passing is a great loss for India and the entire scientific community.

I am grateful that we have his words and wisdom captured in our conversation, which I will cherish as a memory and a tribute to his remarkable life. For those who wish to revisit his journey or learn from him, you can find the interview here.

My heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know or be taught by him. He will be deeply missed.
