Find a couple things to be thankful for today! Even if it's been a hard week or year, just find a few things to smile and be thankful for. I am blessed to have the life I live, even given the circumstances. I'd take my flaws and heartbreaks over anyone elses because I get to feel thankful for the little moments of joy life brings me, and it turns out those moments aren't so little after all I just needed to appreciate EVERY moment more. Choose to be thankful and smile at the life you live, don't drone off into the habitual auto pilot and let it pass you by.
May is mental health awareness month, and I encourage everyone to check on your people and show them how much you care about them. I had a great friend who struggled with depression who passed away a few years ago, and not a day goes by where I don't think about him. He is the reason that I do what I do to this day, some of his last words to me were "When I'm with you I forget about all that bad stuff in my life" Tell your people you love them whenever you get the chance, and always have some compassion. You never know what battles they might be enduring.
