show recap!

so today 10/25/25, i showed chief in a starter HT (2-2'3,,). i'm so unbelievably proud of this horse and myself!
we started off with our dressage test at ~10 am and got a score of 38.0! i was proud of this score especially with one wrong lead and a canter step in my trot circle! we then headed up to watch some people from my barn up at showjumping and then i competed at ~12:30! we went clear for a gorgeous showjumping round and i couldn't have been prouder of him! then we headed out to cross country where he was not having it lol, we went over the first jump very squirmy and then had a baby rear after it so that was cute! after jumps 2-5, which were better was the water. chief hadn't shown cross country in years and when he told me "i'm not ready for this, i can't do it" i said okay and retired (disqualified myself). he started to consistently back up and tried lifting his front feet as if wanting to rear so i decided to not push him if he wasn't ready, which i was okay with because of how good showjumping and dressage went. if chief and i had gone clear in dressage we would have ended up in first or second place, but truthfully i couldn't be prouder and i know what we need to work on. overall super proud of today and i'll post some showjumping edits later 💗

my bad for ditching you guys
rode thursday and uno was really good!
rode today (saturday)
uno was good walk trot, didn't want to canter in the sand because we literally haven't gotten rain but was very spicy in the grass
rode sport and did a few little jumps
hopefully riding monday and wednesday too!

surprise!!
went to old barn and got to ride the bestest boy!! he was so perfect and we even got to do some jumpies 💗
for a horse who hasnt been used a lot recently and hadn't jumped in a good bit he was having the best time and i'm so so proud of him!! hopefully get to do this a little more often and i'm so grateful i got to come out 💓

rode today but after i gave uno a super duper good groom and then did about thirty minutes of groundwork. including turns, walking/halting on command, pole work on the ground, and more! i even trotted him around a little to see how he was and he's looking a lot better. for now hes walk and light trot for ground work and walk only under saddle but it'll just take time. it might be a while before i can jump him again but that gives us enough time to focus on our dressage. i trust everything will work out the way it's supposed to and thank you to everyone helping with everything. on the bright side, i feel like today really helped me and uno's bond and i'm going to try and do this once a week or more with him and this will continue at least until i'm regularly riding him again. until then ill be riding a little bit of everyone but it's getting me experience and i'm grateful for that. i hope all of you guys are doing well. love y'all 💗
