I would like to take this opportunity to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for the opportunity to make a difference through music ministry, both locally and abroad.

What shall we say of a man whose life has become many things to many men? A father, a voice, a compass, a witness, a reformer, and a faithful steward of the mysteries of Christ. Like Joseph, you wear a coat of many colors, yet in every assignment entrusted to you, you execute with excellence, wisdom, and the fear of God.

When you announced that the sixteen years of pulpit ministry had come to a close and that God was leading you into another field, many of us were shaken. We had known you as a map in uncertain seasons, a leader with clarity, conviction, and answers when confusion surrounded us. Through your counsel, many found direction. Through your teaching, many found stability. Yet even in that transition, we could not fail, because for years you had built us upon truth. You taught us Christ and steadfastness. You labored until Jesus was formed in us. And when it was time to execute what you entrusted us, the fruit of your labor became evident, for you had not built with wood, hay, and straw, but upon the Solid Rock who is Christ Jesus.
But even more, you remain a voice of instruction, wisdom, and fatherly guidance. Truly, we are not forsaken.

This is a faithful witness and a testimony worthy of all acceptance, that through your life you have demonstrated God and not mere religion. You are not controversial, you are simply bold enough to preach Christ where He is not known. You have carried the light into places where darkness once prevailed. Thank you for accurately demonstrating that we are called to be the light of the world, not merely lights confined within four church walls. Through your teaching, many have come to understand that the true altar of God is the yielded heart of man, for the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands. Through revelation and understanding, you have brought many into the reality of the Kingdom.

You have never been afraid to be misunderstood if it meant that many would come into truth. You have embraced the dealings of God, knowing Him as the Refiner’s Fire and the Fuller’s Soap, just as Malachi declared. Cleaning and refining men in all spheres. Through your obedience, the mountain of governance is encountering truth and light. You have brought hope to the afflicted, spoken justice for the defenseless, and shown mercy to those forgotten by society. You have stood where many feared to stand, speaking righteousness without compromise.

You have never waited for others to go ahead so you could follow behind. You have been a pathfinder. A forerunner. One who goes first so that generations to come may walk with greater clarity and ease. Like John the Baptist, you prepare the way. Like Nehemiah, you rebuild broken walls. Like Paul, you endure for the elect’s sake that truth may continue to advance.

Thank you for exemplifying Christ with consistency and conviction. Thank you for being a father to many. Thank you for preaching the uncompromised Word beyond the boundaries of dead religion and into the reality of God’s Kingdom.

On this special day, we celebrate not only your birth, but the grace of God revealed through your life. May the Lord strengthen you with might by His Spirit in the inner man. May He preserve your voice, enlarge your influence, and establish every burden He has placed within your heart. May kings hear wisdom from your lips, may generations rise and call you blessed, and may Christ continue to be glorified through your obedience.

Happy Birthday, Daddy. We honor you deeply, celebrate you sincerely, and thank God for the gift that you are to this generation.
