A client came to me with five days until her TEDx talk.
So I rolled up my sleeves.
We re-wrote the structure.
I helped her to dig deep into her story in the name of authenticity and vulnerability.
I coached her through 4-5 run-throughs.
I helped her add color, texture and truth to her voice so she could engage and be engaging.
I gave her acupressure points to tap on to relieve any anxiety and overwhelm.
And I told her the truth, even when it may have felt uncomfortable.

Confidence isn't "I don't care what people think". First of all, you do care 👀 and it's important to tell the truth about that.
True Confidence is about choosing what you put Confidence IN.
Choosing to get a sense of value, worth and validation from outside of yourself is shaky at best. Some people will give you what you seek and others won't.
Choosing to source Confidence from within yourself is ruthless.
That gangsta within is ready to risk it ALL.
Any thought, belief, relationship, event in time that doesn't align with how loveable and powerful you are gets thrown in the TRASH.
Then that trash gets thrown in the fire. Then that fire gets flushed down the toilet.
You get the picture 😆.
So... when it comes to real confidence, check your source. Then be willing to sacrifice ANYTHING so you can feel secure in the truth that you matter.
Now speak from THAT place.
And watch that confident gangsta 😎 change things for you!

The answer to the number one question about how to be a persuasive speaker is hiding right under your nose yet most people miss it.
The answer is to stop trying to be persuasive.
Don't try to get them to see your way of thinking.
Stop trying to influence them to be motivated, impacted or any of that.
And I mean, TAKE YOUR ATTENTION OFF OF YOUR AUDIENCE COMPLETELY!
Don't worry about what they think about you.
Don't worry about their engagement.
Do this instead.
Get turned on by your own content.
GIVE YOURSELF GOOSEBUMPS.
Focus within and share your presentation or talk with the audience like you're letting them see the rarest truffle ... the most precious diamond
When you FEEL the value of your message... your SPEAKING will change to reflect that.
Don't get caught up in other people's reactions that you forget the no 1 rule of persuasion: In order to persuade, YOU must first be persuaded.
And that's the most Influential thing of all.
Following the above formula makes the impact you want inevitable. You will draw people in, make their mouth drop, convert the nonchalant to engaged and the engaged into BUYERS!
It's the paradox of Vocal energetics, aka 'worry about yourself'. It's the Law of Influence.
