I thought I'd get into the Time Slot I just made a video about. The board has Rev B printed on it, the socketed chip has a 1993 date code. The transformer has a 1992 date code. So maybe there was an earlier version in line with the 1988 patent application which is marked online "expired - fee-related".
I've posted a "Short" comparison of my 2009 Kindle 2 ($400) with my 2021 Kindle 10 ($50). I don't think subscribers are notified of Shorts so you might need to check my video page.
I'll be uploading a video soon about the Casio Video Printer that can print photos and labels directly from a video source like a television, camcorder or VCR. Quite a few fun applications here from 1994!
I will be trying to figure out this 1994 Panasonic word processor with attached display, 3.5" floppy drive and tilt-keyboard and get a video uploaded sometime in the future.
Celebrating my 10th year on YouTube today! I've uploaded almost 400 videos in that time. Most of them blur together in memory but at least in the last year or so I would say that the video where I examine the AutoMatic TelePhone from around 1980 stands out as my favorite. With an internal answering machine using a 1/4 in. magnetic tape system and a hand-held pocket coder for remote message recall it's a wonderful example of telephone technology of its day (just as Ma Bell was being broken up.) Being shown on episodes of television's Hart-To-Hart and Columbo was a treat!

After finding and removing 10 more screws (and some components too) I was able to get inside the MGA TC-20. The belts seem OK at least.
