One of my bitter experience in my life
During my college Days in 2016, I used to trek mountains every weekend with friends surrounding my city, chittoor -Andhra Pradesh one fine weekend one of my friend asked me let's again Trek some New place and he him self suggested a place to me which iam aware of and experienced the place already which is called as sadha Siva Kona located near to Tirupati part of seshachalam hills with wild Animals where there is a lord Shiva's Temple in the Middle of the forest with waterfalls and few scenics mountain views .one speciality abt this temple is there's no power supply to the temple people there live without power and even cell phone signals will not be available. To reach this place we need to trek 7km approx into the deep forest

After few discussion's we planned to Trek Sunday early morning with 3 of my friends including me .....we started by 4:00 Am and reached to foot of the hill by 5:30 am (one mistake what we have done is Not carried any water bottles by thinking that any how we will reach to top of the hill in 2 hrs so that we can drink fresh water from the water falls)

*We parked our bikes and started to Trek everything went fine as we know in the forest everything looks like a proper way ....in the middle we have missed the correct Route and diverted into the deep forest and thought it's the correct way and stared to walk and walk and walk until 12:00 pm then we realised that we have missed the way ....out of 4 (A,B,C,D) of us ...1 of my classmate say (D) has started crying telling that he need's to go home (and at the moment I thought he is not mentally strong ) so we tried to return but we are unable to even find the return way ...we started to walk return by 12:00 pm in the hot sunny day( every one are Tired and almost about to faint ) we started to walk and walk and walk even though we could not find the foot of the hill......after walking for few hours upto 2:00 pm I had received 1 point of my Airtel signal and opened my Google maps and found out the way but we are 2 mountains away from the Road , started walking towards the road by following maps after crossing 1 mountain finally i was able to see Tirupati. Sri balaji, venkateswara swamy's lights on one of the hill and got some confidence at last moment while treking down one of My Friend D was unable to walk so we decided to split into two groups A,B and C,D. I said C,D to stay at the same location without moving as D is unable to walk due to thirst as he is chubby....and we A,B started to find the way after walking for few minutes I found out a dried out natural water canal and though I could easily reach down the hill if i follow this ....and planned to Returned to C,D so that everyone can grouply reach the foot of the hill while returning to C,D on the way to them i have seen my friend C alone and asked where's D he was blinking and looking back and saying that I thought he was following me ... And at that moment we started to search for My friend D by shouting louder and louder we are unable to find him it's almost 6:00 pm and even we are unable to walk further due to thirst because of walking continuosly for 13 hrs straight withouth food or water and for the sake of water we reached the foot of the hill by following the Natural Canal and found some water where cows and goats are drinking water in a small pond and drank it for few minutes and regained back some energy and started to search again but no where abouts about D it's almost 7:30 pm.

and one more main twist here is that we have started to Trek at one place but exited the forest at another place which is almost 10-15 kms from the place where we parked our bikes , i was really shocked by knowing this and stared walking towards the place we parked our bikes. As one of my Friend D is missing i have called to my uncle who is 40 kms away from our place and informed him and explained him everything about his missing .....uncle reached our place and we went the foot the hill where we parked our bikes and placed some water bottles and snacks in the bike , so that he can have some if he returns to the same place.

Next we immediately went to police station and complained and explained about this to them and My D friends parents and my parents and ,B,C . The police started doubting us and seeing us as acused as we have done something to him . The whole night almost 20-30 policemen enquired us in by slapping hard and seeing us as an criminal out few who enquired us are in Alcohol and every one started to blame and threaten us by saying if something happens to him you will be in jail for next 14 yrs etc etc ....and we A,B,C are in the police station for the whole night .

The next morning we received a call from him from one of the villagers phone stating that he reached down the mountain, and police went to pick him up and later At 9:00 am after SI reached the station and warned us in a polite way and sent us home but the constables were very harsh and threatening like if we see you again some where here we will encounter you , it's an restricted area as sandal woods are mostly grown in that forest etc.bla bla bla

We reached home safely This is one of the bitter experience I had and left my hobby of trekking and planned to Trek alone if i start it again in future.

What's your opinion should I start Trekking Again ?

Own a modified car/bike? You can be jailed for up to 6 months! 🙄🙄

If you are thinking to customize your car or motorcycle with any cosmetic or mechanical modification, you should be aware of the possibilities and consequences of doing so. The growing influence of after-market automobile modifiers among new generation buyers has once again fueled the debate between vehicle owners and government authorities. However, before planning to attempt any modification to your car or motorcycle, you should keep the Supreme Court judgement made back in 2019 regarding this matter.

As per the judgement made by Justice Arun Mishra and Justice Vineet Saran in the Supreme Court, no modifications should be made to a vehicle that is different from the original specifications recommended by the manufacturer of that vehicle. This judgement goes in sync with Section 52 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, which states that no such modifications are allowed that alter the information of the vehicle mentioned in the registration certificate. It means that the basic structure and modifications to the mechanical components such as engine, exhaust, bigger alloy wheels, louder horns, wider tyres, etc. are illegal in the books of law.

However, if a person wishes to carry out alterations such as operation by a different type of fuel (such as installing a CNG kit), he should comply with the various exemptions ruled by the Central Government, which requires a bit of a hassle and groundwork.

Apart from other fuel options, certain changes can be done to your vehicle if they do not alter the original specifications by the manufacturer, such as changing the colour of your car, minor add-ons like rain visors and bumper corner protectors, upsizing of tyres and wheels for a lower variant to those of upper variant of a vehicle within the limits prescribed by the carmaker and engine swapping, the last one of which requires prior permission from the RTO. If any of the rule mentioned above is violated, the vehicle owner is bound to pay a fine of Rs 5,000 per alteration or imprisonment for up to six months.

No, such structural changes are not legal in India. The supreme court of India and the Motor Vehicle Act ban any such modifications to operate on public roads. Such vehicles can be project cars for many and one can use them on private properties like a racing track or at a farmhouse. However, the police may seize them from the public roads.

In India modification is not allowed and even aftermarket accessories like the bullbar and other structural changes are banned too. In fact, tyres that are too big for a vehicle are banned too. Such vehicles sure do attract a lot of attention on the roads but since they are made at local garages without proper welding equipment, they can be dangerous.

If a vehicle disintegrates while going on a road, it can become a cause of a serious accident. The police of different states set up check-points to keep an eye on such modifications and also issue challans.
