Just sharing bits and pieces of my life in Southeast Texas. Chickens, Nigerian Dwarf milk goats, beef cattle, quail, gardening and home canning. We have been on this journey 35 years, on land that has been in the family since 1850, 8 generations on this land. I guess you could say we have been homesteading before homesteading was a thing. Our kids are grown and out of the house, so I am having the time of my life with my husband, my garden, and our critters.

When your oven craps out 4 days before Christmas.....not good. But....I have a spare stove, don't like it but it works. So fixin to do a switch-a-roo so I can get my baking done.
