B'roque Cowgirl Homestead

Just sharing bits and pieces of my life in Southeast Texas. Chickens, Nigerian Dwarf milk goats, beef cattle, quail, gardening and home canning. We have been on this journey 35 years, on land that has been in the family since 1850, 8 generations on this land. I guess you could say we have been homesteading before homesteading was a thing. Our kids are grown and out of the house, so I am having the time of my life with my husband, my garden, and our critters.

I had 2 rows already together when I dragged this out to work on. Slow going at first with the sewing machine malfunctions. My goal was to do one row a day. Sew the blocks together, put the flowered fabric over each seam then attach the row to the main quilt. I haven't gotten a row a day done but I have gotten 3 rows on. I have three rows to go. Then the edge binding.
