From enticing Cakes and Cupcakes in unimaginable flavour combinations to Cookies, Brownies, Macarons, Eclairs, Tarts, Pies, Ice Cream, Marshmallows and SO MUCH MORE! For the most part, all recipes will be eggless, don't forget to check out my Eggless Macaron Recipes! However, you will also find recipes made using eggs, especially choux pastry.
I love baking with chocolate and fresh seasonal produce. So, you will find a lot of fruit based desserts too! I also have a Baking Basics series where I show you the absolute basics of baking like making different kinds of buttercream frosting, classic recipes like a simple Vanilla Cake, simple Chocolate cake and much more! Hey lovelies,
I’m getting very raw and open in this post because I feel I need to share this with you!
It had been a bit silent on my end for most of 2022.
There was a lot I had to process. There was a phase when I was trolled mercilessly for doing what I love and, I’ll admit - it REALLY got to me. I was absolutely terrified of creating anything new in my kitchen because I was convinced no matter how much I enjoyed the process - I will get trolled!
So the posts became fewer and less frequent until eventually, I stopped.
During this time, I did a LOT of work on myself and I realised that I was focusing on the wrong things! That while 10 people were trolling me, 100 people (all of you beautiful souls reading this) were always supporting me and appreciating my work no matter what!
That’s all that I had to focus on! Honestly, I love baking too damn much! Last year when I didn’t bake much, there was such a void in me - I can’t explain it! it’s not who I am!
I bake because it makes me happy - happy to see my loved ones’ faces light up when they take a bite of a dessert they know they’re not going to find in any bakery / cafe! It makes me happy because it sends me into that “Flow State”
I know you feel the same way - I know that’s why you bake too! Because it’s like therapy - it helps you unwind and share special moments with your loved ones!
That’s it! That’s my “WHY”.
I had to remind myself this is why The Cupcake Confession was started in the first place!
And so, in 2023, I am determined to focus on this and remind myself why this channel exists! (and it marks 10 years since I first published that first blog post in 2013!)
I am SO excited to share some really fun recipes with you! I have been working non-stop behind the scenes to make up for all the time I was absent here because I have missed you guys so much!
Lastly (but by no means the least), I can’t thank you enough for sticking around and for supporting me the way you have! Your support means the world to me - I will never be able to express that in words! X
