Recently, my wife asked me if I would ever write in a gratitude journal.

Usually, I’d say no - I don’t want to add more to my already full plate.

But for some reason I said yes...

One of my goals this year was to be more intentional with my time and not just jump right into work every spare second I had.

And it’s tough!

Especially when my default for over a decade has been “work harder and longer than anyone else and you’ll win”

But writing down 3 things that I’m grateful for everyday has really helped me slow down, be intentional, and actually do things besides work lol

And with that, I’d like to share with you 3 things that I’m grateful for today.

    1    The crisp fall air this morning.

    2    My brand new socks from Costco (there’s nothing like a brand new pair of socks, omg)

    3    You. I’m grateful for your support. Whether that be reading an email, watching a video on social media, liking a post, or sending me a kind message. Without you I wouldn’t be where I am today. So thank you.

Happy second wedding anniversary @ali.turton

Feels like just yesterday we told our friends and family that we were eloping to Italy without them.

These past 2 years have flown by. You’ve changed careers, we moved houses, we got 2 cats… who proceeded to pee on the basement carpet in our brand new house and we had to rip it out because it stunk so bad and then put in new flooring ourselves because “it’s not hard to do” - and that fixed the problem, but now they’re peeing on the carpeted steps which we now have to rip out too…

Okay okay, I’m getting carried away.

But it’s to make a point. Regardless of how difficult something appears to be, you’re always willing to give it a go, figure it out, and solve the problem.

Get 2 more pets? No problem.

They pee on the floor? - let’s rip it out.

Put in new flooring? - let’s figure out how to do it together.

With you as my wife and partner, there’s not a thing I don’t believe we can get through.

We work together, live together, hang out together, eat together, sleep together.. and pretty much do everything together. And I still can’t get enough.

If someone invented another hour in the day, I’d fill it with more of you.

Obviously I’m obsessed.

Okay, this is getting long.
