I love rock biographies. This one is my favourite. Super easy and fun read. At times, you find yourself really questioning if some of the stories are true! Slash tells some insane stories about Guns N’ Roses, partying, and how he died and came back to life.
You don’t need to be a GnR fan to enjoy it. As long as you’re into a rock history or just love a good chaotic life story, this book is a must!

HAHA! I had A.I. come up with an ad for the channel just to see where we're at with the tech at this point and voilà!
I didn't do anything to it. The only thing I added was the music. Obviously, A.I still needs human intervention but it's not totally horrible considering it took me 1 minute to do...
No idea why AI thought an elf looking through a magnifying glass was a good idea for the ad but it could have been worse I guess... it could have been a NAKED elf looking through a magnifying glass.

Earlier this week, I was watching Sum 41 get inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
In his speech, singer/ songwriter Deryck Whibley, quoted the great Iggy Pop on the best advice he’s ever gotten:
"Forget who you think you are, and always just be who you really are."
Deryck ended with: "Be yourself. Believe in yourself. Stay persistent."
Both those statements pretty much sums (pun intended) it up in my books. He drove the point home that persistence is what truly made them successful. The fact that they showed up time and time again and kept on going no matter what.
We all need a little (I would recommend more than a little) punk in us to get through the hard times and celebrate the good ones!

Did you know that "Smoke on the Water" was inspired by a real event: a fire that broke out during a Frank Zappa concert at the Montreux Casino in Switzerland, where Deep Purple had intended to record the album. The lyrics tell the story of the fire and the events surrounding it. The famous guitar riff, played by Ritchie Blackmore, is instantly recognizable and has become one of the most iconic in rock history.

Did you know that Axl Rose from Guns N' Roses was born with the name William Bruce Rose Jr. He legally changed his name to W. Axl Rose in 1986. The "Axl" came from a bandmate's suggestion to shorten "Axel," a name Rose had considered using as a stage name. He added "Rose" as his last name, derived from his biological father's last name.
