If you’re here because you want a quieter mind and a steadier version of yourself, take a breath and settle in.

You’re not the only one trying to make sense of old patterns, heavy thoughts and the parts of life that never came with a manual.
I share what I’ve lived and learned, the mistakes that shaped me and the tools that actually helped me move forward without losing myself.

I’ve spent more than thirty years unlearning, rebuilding and figuring out how to feel like a whole person again.

I’m not a therapist and I won’t pretend to be one. I’m just someone who’s walked a long road and wants to make yours lighter.

New episodes weekly.

Life Update:

HOLY HANNAH has life been interesting.

If you’re new to my content, 👋🏻 hey, I’m Wendi, a single mom, exjw, introverted wallflower who loves the tightest corner on the largest couch.

Before you say anything— I KNOW I haven’t dropped any videos in a bit and I *know* I started out just banging out content. Since starting the channel, I’ve been blessed with a job opportunity that has taken my interests and my time.

I’d love to tell you about it because I landed it due to my public content. I am the marketing manager for a company called EmCyte. It’s a biotech company that manufactures a device for platelet-rich plasma.

For those of you who don’t know, when I was a JW and a “pioneer”, I worked for over a decade (I’m old asf) in healthcare, mostly in hospital lab; inpatient & outpatient settings. I didn’t know it at the time, but the opportunist that is JWs saw that I had access to hospital administrators and “gave me” a “title” as “research coordinator” in the development of a “bloodless” med dept.

Really, I was just a middle man. I did zero research, and I coordinated nothing. Really, I was a pawn in their little game of coercion. However, I DID gain a shitton of information w regard to bloodless options — options I still choose to this day, within reason.

Here I was in 2023, applying for a *ridiculous* amount of jobs. I have no college education (thanks, JWs) and I was a stay-at-home-mom for over a decade. At one point I buried myself under my covers, assuming I was unhireable. (Is that a word??)

This story is already too long.

EmCyte’s CEO grew up a JW. He was never baptized, but he’s “gets it”. His mother nearly died from refusing a transfusion. Imagine me on an interview, crying 🙄 yeah, that’s me.

At this point I thought that anything any employer found on me would automatically disqualify me from the chance of employment. This is a big reason why I never used my real name. (That, and my kids’ names and their dad’s family name is not for public knowledge since some of them are still JWs. )

Back to my boss——-

He went on to become an RN, and develop a product that heals wounds and countless other issues just by using platelets. What’s more is that it’s “closed circuit.”

JWs play the game of calling something a conscience matter, when really that means “we have no idea.”

So that’s where I’ve been. I never imagined I’d have an employer who has seen what I do online as an asset to his company.

Why am I telling you this?

Because I love us. Because I love our community. Because I know that many creators do move on w their lives at some point. I’ve done that too. I consume very little, if any, EXJW content and I believe that’s healthy. You need to. You can’t heal in the very place that made you sick, ya know?

So this post is to catch up, to tell you I’m still here, raising my kiddos and living my life.

I’m closing season 2 with a BANGER interview. Have you seen the Witness Underground documentary? I hope you do if you haven’t.

It’s going to be a premiere. It’s cool because the creators of the docu and myself will be behind the scenes answering questions live as the video is dropping. We are planning for this next Sunday, May 28, 2023 at 3pm est. You’ll get a notification if you subscribed and turned that little bell on.

Thanks for being here, hope you’re doing well. I hope you’re living. I hope you know that it’s possible. I hope you stay.

Xo

This is a clip that was posted a few years ago. I remember hearing talks as gruesome and graphic as this one.

So many of us in exjw wonder why we tremble with fear, why we have unresolved trauma, and why we are hurting physically, emotionally and spiritually.

For the formative years, this is the kind of material that was drilled into our heads. It was a graphic description of an execution of billions of people.

By JW logic, the longer “God” waits, the more people are going to be destroyed. If you’re struggling today, or any day, what you’re walking away from is NOT easy to leave. When fear is instilled in a human, it’s the fear that holds on for dear life.

Perhaps you were like me, sitting in the audience of a talk like this and not only envisioning yourself but also those you love — those who aren’t / weren’t a JW. This is why we were isolated from the rest of the world. This is why many of us had panic attacks when an otherwise beautiful summer thunder storm shook our homes.

This is the very doomspeak we are fighting against. The absolute untruth of all of this is despicable.

I will always strive to make this a community for help and healing. Sharing this video is with the intent to help you understand why our pain runs so deep.

Thank you to Twitter user Ian Puddick for sharing this and tagging me.

Love you

By now you may have heard about the release of the recent letter. Here’s a 14 page document with the rest of it. It should be noted that the portion of the letter regarding closing of banks is for Spain, and I want to clarify that.

Key takeaways:

“Starting in September 22 congregations and kingdom hall operating committees will be requested to cancel their bank accounts and transfer the funds to the branch”

Data & Privacy:

If you don’t sign it, fulfilling certain roles in the congregation will be taken into consideration. (See graphic)

“The congregation may use & keep, on internal congregation documents, the personal data of an adult publisher who has not signed the Notice of Consent for Use of Personal Data on file. This includes personal data recorded ont he Congregation’s Publisher Records”

Here’s the 14-page document:

Hey everyone!

I am still here! Summer has been a time to regroup and also, be with my kids who seem to be on a mission to drive me insane, lol.

I am moving soon so I’m prepping for that. I’m looking to come back with a brand new season in September. Let’s start out the new service year with a bang, yeah? 🤣

In the meantime, I still make short-form content on TikTok. It’s a great platform to get something off my chest when the inspiration hits.

I also have been focused on writing Game Plan! Now that that’s over, I’d like to offer it to you!

Hope your summer is going well!

Believing in people is something you’ve always done. You know it promotes unity and it can transform lives. Is there ever a limit to believing in someone? Can belief only go so far? Believing in people doesn’t mean you have to constantly be fixing them. It means you have the confidence they can change if they want to. It doesn’t mean you let it consume you.

You’ve let your regard for others and your belief in them take over your soul. You’ve forgotten who you are. Your inner dialog is their opinions of you. Your unyielding belief in infinite possibilities is not something only you possess, you just have to temper it with acceptance that not everyone understands. Not everyone wants to grow.

Believing in others does not mean internalizing their disbelief in themselves. Countless books tell you that belief is the foundation and faith is the expectation of what is believed.

You’re picking up the pieces of a shattered image, mourning the loss of a future you believed in.

You find yourself wondering if you believe too much, if you’re too loving, or perhaps too naive?

Do you stay and keep believing or do you leave and risk believing in something else?

For so long you ignited yourself to warm others.

You’re not too deep.

Were there no depth, you wouldn’t be where you are, as a product of the greatest writers in history and their testimony of the world as they saw it.

You don’t want to believe in a world that’s given up on love and beauty because you know it exists so you look for other ways to hold on to it.

Despite its fallibility, you still believe.
