Home stretch on "Shinobi: Art of Vengeance" with every level beckoning an endurance battle of skill, patience and some degree of sheer luck... a regular day for a ninja then. Being a complete sucker for mechs and SRPGS, I picked up "Relayer Advanced Definitive Edition" and so far its a blast. It certainly was a long wait but "Hades II" is finally out of early access and a timed exclusive on Switch hardware. I’m a bit rusty but Melinoë certainly stands tall to Zagreus. I was not disciplined enough to have waited till November to pick up the physical edition.

"UFO 50" report: 19 of 50 games played. "Golfaria" is quite something!

Game of the week is (still) "Star Wars Outlaws". With Kijimi complete, time to head for Akiva on the prowl for a droidsmith. I’m leaving Tatooine for last, looking forward to that.

Somehow found myself back home after a time-out from work and truly far are the times when there were no new game releases out in the Summer. With "Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound" complete just a few days ago, it’s all smooth sailing for "Shinobi: Art of Vengeance" which I reckon I’m about two thirds along. Not on my vacation cards were both "Hollow Knight: Silksong" and "UFO 50" (played 14 of the games so far), two amazing offerings I had to juggle into my gaming schedules. Plus my eagerly awaited "Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion" is living up to the original offering nearly limitless tinkering and customisation.

Games of the week is "Star Wars Outlaws". I was a bit wary by the bad first impressions from the press and feared Ubisoft had once again tried to byte off more than it could chew, but I am extremely happy how Massive Entertainment ported their game to Switch 2. Truly this is "Read Dead Redemption" from a long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.

I'm packing my bags for the annual offline vacations. On those very same bags I take 250 days straight of "Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer". All good things must come to an end, so that’s my season finale on that “game”. It is still very much the “Summer of the Ninja” around here, so "Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound" will carry me on this and the next weekend, along with "Front Mission 3: Remake" and the last third of World Tour mode in "Street Fighter 6" (hey, Sagat is here! But it takes real money to get him… curse these new ways of the industry).

Did a bit of binge-spending yesterday on the eShop so also on my bag goes "House of the Dead 2 Remake", the wonderful "UFO 50", "Turbo Kid" (go watch the movie, seriously!) and M2’s "Gradius Origins", which comes with the brand new, 1998 theoretical sequel "Salamander III". Since I also failed miserably not to pick up "Earthion" on STEAM last week it’s going to be one great Summer for shmup action!

This will be my first time taking the Switch 2 on the road and looking back at the last eight Summers where the original Switch model was a constant slice of my cherish memories, can’t help but feel really excited looking at what’s to come, with "Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion" being a particularly strong bleep on my radar.
