If you want to find my music on streaming platforms (like Spotify), you can now simply search for my name ''Antoine Michaud''. I used to post my music under the artist name ''Monochrome Seasons'', but few people knew about it and I kept being asked if my music was on Spotify. I now made the change to my own name for simplicity.

You can listen to my full length albums as well as vol.1-2-3-4 compilations of the original Guitar Looping Songs I posted on YouTube over the years.

(only exception is Apple Music and ITunes. For some reason, name changes are forbidden with Apple and I can't even reupload the same songs under a different name - quite dumb!).

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for 100k subscribers!

When I first started back in 2012, getting to 10k subs was just a distant dream in my head. Something that I might, maybe one day, get to. So, to get to a HUNDRED THOUSAND is something absolutely baffling to me.

I’ve never been a proper YouTuber. I don’t optimize for watch time. I barely know anything about video editing or creating cool graphics. I don’t create pattern interrupts or jump cuts or YouTube shorts. I just angle the camera on my guitar, I press record, I blackout and teach for a dozen minutes. Often, when I’m done, I don’t remember what I just said, and I hope it’s going to be good.

I’ve never properly defined my niche. I am torn between teaching about guitar chords and ambient guitar music. I post lessons, gear demos, original music, all at the same place… I could’ve grown faster by being much more focused or by separating those things on different channels. It doesn’t fully makes sense from a growth perspective... but it is simply what feels right for me to do.

To see that a hundred thousand of you have seen value in what I have to offer enough to hit the subscribe button… it is truly incredible. It fuels my passion for teaching, inspiring, simplifying and giving other guitar players like me hope that they can finally understand music. That they can finally enjoy and be proud of their guitar playing.

Today, the number 1 million seems like something I will never get to. A distant, impossible dream in my head. Just like 10k had been for me 10 years ago. So, I guess I’ll just keep hitting that record button on my camera, sharing my knowledge and my passion, and I’ll see where that will bring me in 10 more years!

I am sad to announce that I have to put my channel on pause. I have been sick and dealing with chronic fatigue in the last 4 months, and I don’t have energy to be on camera or to teach.

I always have TONS of videos in the bank in case something happens. In fact, all the videos you’ve seen this year have been made between January and March. And I’m glad I had these videos pre-scheduled, because something DID happen, but now my bank of videos has run dry and I still need more time to heal.

My goal would be to make a live stream on September 1st to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of my channel (yes, you read that right!!!) and then start making videos for you again. But if I need more time, I will take it, however long that will be.

In the meantime, I will try to use the community tab on YouTube every week to share older videos that I think are fantastic, but have been abandoned by the algorithm for some reason. So there’s a big chance you will still see helpful content you’ve never seen before from me!

I will come back later with renewed energy and with my usual enthusiasm.
