🚨 Arsenal are monitoring Leroy Sane’s situation at Bayern Munich, according to reports from Sky Germany. 🇩🇪
It’s understood that Arteta is keen to sign a versatile attacking player with Spain’s Euro 2024 star Nico Williams reportedly also on the club’s shortlist. 🇪🇸
According to sources from Germany, Sane is on Arsenal’s radar and the Gunners are ‘closely’ keeping tabs on the winger’s situation at Bayern Munich. 👀
Sane, who joined Bayern in a £54.8m deal from Manchester City four years ago, has just a year remaining on his deal with the Bundesliga club and has yet to reach an agreement over an extension. ✍️
The report claims that Sane’s preference is to extend his stay with Bayern, however, Arsenal ‘sense a chance’ that a deal could be possible this summer, given that Bayern run the risk of losing the 28-year-old on a free transfer next year. 💶
Sane already has a strong relationship with Arteta during their time together at Manchester City. 🤝
‘I was very happy to work with him. He helped me a lot there,’ Sane said of Arteta in April. 🗣️

Italy international has joined Arsenal from Serie A side Bologna on a long-term contract. ✍️
Edu Gaspar: “It has been a great team effort in completing this transfer and we welcome Riccardo to the family. We identified Riccardo as part of our strategy to sign players who fit our profile and will reinforce our squad to compete at the highest level. He is 22 but brings quality and experience. He will quickly grow into being an Arsenal player." 🗣️
Mikel Arteta: “Riccardo is a big personality and character, with specific skills which will make us stronger as we push to win major trophies. He has already shown great development in recent seasons with his performances for both Bologna and Italy, with his progression and development in the past year being really impressive." 🗣️

🚨 Mikel Arteta has explained the decision behind changing Jurrien Timber's position during Arsenal's pre-season friendly against Manchester United.
Timber was named in the starting line-up but played in the centre of defence as opposed to either side. 🇳🇱
Academy star Ayden Heaven was his centre-back partner, with Ben White on the right and Oleksandr Zinchenko on the left. 👕
Discussing the Dutchman's role and position change after the match, Arteta said:
"It’s simple, and as well there is so much chemistry in that right unit. That relationship has been there for a long time and I believe at the moment that it’s better just to touch one thing." 🗣️

According to Foot Mercato, the Ligue 1 side have opened discussions with Nketiah, over the possibility of joining the club. 🇫🇷
Nketiah struggled for game time at the Emirates last season, but attracted interest from a number of Premier League outfits, including Fulham, in taking him for up to £30million. 💷
However, he could now be on his way overseas to join former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi. 🤝
The striker's current deal with the Gunners expires in 2027. 📝
