I apologize for not posting much- as of now I have no motivation to make edits so I just wanted to tell you guys that i'm gonna be taking a break so that hopefully I can come back and be just as excited to make them as I was when I first started this. I might post random lil things sometimes but there are other things I need to focus on besides editing and since school is starting soon I need to get ready for that too (i haven't gotten any supplies yet 😭)
No I don't love Michael any less, and yes i'll still be active in the community watching and commenting on other peoples things- I just won't be pushing myself to upload if I don't want to.
Question- and PLEASE tell me what you think about this in the comments because I can't really pick out social norms irl much less online and I don't want to do anything wrong.
Would it be okay if I saw an edit while scrolling, and used the concept? Like I obviously wouldn't just reupload the edit because ik that plagiarism is bad in any field of work- but if I liked certain elements like the song, or the way it transitions- stuff like that; Would it be okay to use those in an edit of my own (I would change major elements of it- like if I used a song from an edit I saw, I would change the clips and the style of the words and the effects and whatnot- I would not use the original video in any way and I would make my edit completely from scratch as usual.) and then credit the person I got the idea from in the description?? I have done this a few times already because i'm pretty sure it's okay to do when a bunch of people have done it and it's kindof like a 'trend' but I don't know if this is acceptable to do with original ideas. I'm asking because I see so many cool edits (not just of Michael- but yk my autistic ahh could make anything MJ related 😭) that give me inspiration and get rid of my 'art' block but I don't wanna take away any attention from that original creator because they clearly created something really cool if it triggered a neuron to fire. I don't wanna be known as a content stealer and I don't wanna make anyone angry or sad, and as I said before, i'm really bad at picking up on whats acceptable to do (like I don't just go terrorizing the streets caveman style- imean smaller things like 'is it normal to tell somone that their baby is adorable?' or 'if small child waves at me in supermarket can I wave back or will I be put on some kindof list?') PLEASE HELP SOMONE HELP ME I DONT KNOWWW- 😭 (also if any of you darn neurotypicals (🤠) know the answer to my two example questions please tell me- I don't wanna ignore the babies they're so sweet 🥹)

Sorry guys- I think I might take a short break from editing for just a day or two. I'm getting really tired and I don't wanna get burnout to the point where I just quit completely. I'm gonna take some time to do other things I enjoy like drawing and writing, I think I might deep clean my room too :)
