An expert in Indian art history, Prof. Alone has written several research papers on Indian art, Ajanta and other Buddhist caves and popular neo-Buddhist visual culture. He has delivered lectures at prestigious institutions in India and abroad and has also served as a member of various Government of India committees including the Planning Commission, as an advisor for NCERT and a consultant for the Ministry of Culture.
