🚴♂️ A Daily Ride, A Lifelong Reminder! Everyday, I ride my motorbike going to my school. It’s just a small school with less than 200 students, surrounded by nature may palayan, mga puno, sagingan, isang maliit na kanal, at isang Thai temple (Wat). Before I reach the school, I always pass by a part of the road where vendors sell different kinds of morning food and one of them always sells boiled corn. I remember cooking with firewood. Our dirty kitchen back then had a roof na butas-butas. Kaya kapag umulan, sure basaan. And every time, I remind myself: I am beyond blessed. Kasi mula noon hanggang ngayon, ginagabayan ako ni Lord. 🙏
A Gift of Words, A Glimpse of Grace What a great activity we had during our AY (Adventist Youth) program, a heartfelt session of affirmation and encouragement through group dynamics. Each of us wrote our name on a piece of paper and passed it around. With every exchange, our brothers and sisters in Christ added words of kindness, strength, and truth not just about who we are, but who we are in Christ. When the paper returned to us, it was no longer just filled with ink. It was filled with God’s love, poured out through affirmations: 💬 “I admire your sweetness.” 💬 “Strong person behind your vulnerability” 💬 “Friendly” 💬 “The best among the best” 💬 “Childhood Idol” 💬 “Friendly, caring, and the best cook” 💬 “Dasig and friendly to everyone.” These aren’t just compliments; they are God’s whispers of encouragement through the hearts of those around us. Sometimes, we forget our worth or the impact we make until someone lovingly reminds us of it. Affirming others is a Christ-like act. Jesus uplifted those around Him, spoke life into the broken, and called out the beauty within. As His followers, we are called to do the same. The world may try to define us by our flaws, but God uses people to remind us of our purpose, identity, and value. Let us never grow tired of building one another up. As 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says: “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” So today and beyond, I hold these affirmations not just as words but as gifts. Gifts that uplift, inspire, and help me grow deeper in Christ. 💛 #affirmations #AYProgram #growinginChrist #giftofencouragement #buildeachotherupp #DasigSaUsaGusa
