Some housekeeping items, I suppose.

I turned on memberships today. Right now, it doesn't get you much -- the only thing is that I am allowing people who subscribe the ability to see videos as soon as I upload verses their go-live date. If you haven't figured it out yet, videos typically go live on my channel on Mondays and Thursdays. When I actually upload is semi-erratic. These memberships are more about supporting me than actual content, at this point anyway.

Also, I've also deleted most comments that contain links. This isn't against anyone personal, I just don't want to go through and make sure those links are safe (in terms of content or otherwise).

Experimenting with new profile pics and other things, too! You might see a few changes here or there. It's still me even if things look a little different.

Quick scheduling update.

While I usually post new videos on Mondays and Thursdays (usually around 8AM ET), due to my own availability and a personal issue, I will be posting on Monday and Wednesday this week. I'll be posting the Thursday content on Wednesday in the middle of the day at around 2PM ET.

I'm sorry for the weirdness to the schedule, but here's hoping things will be more normal next week!

It's sort of amazing the types of ideas that AI allows you to explore with filmmaking. I've been thinking about what it means to push the limits on what is possible -- take this character from my latest video.

I'm sure this character would be possible with traditional filmmaking techniques, but I'm also absolutely sure it would be prohibitively expensive. For a two minute short film that's only maybe a few thousand people will watch (at most), it just doesn't make sense. But there are still ideas about being kindness that I wanted to express -- and clearly the best way to do that is through humanoid spider robots.

The next video is another one that is probably going to feel VERY different from my usual outing. While the typical body swapping theme is there, it's more obscured and intentionally moving at a different pace. In fact, I am pretty sure the video is more of a setup than any kind of satisfaction -- which might mean that it will do very poorly and the payoff will never happen. Here's hoping people can look past the typical sort of surface stuff and see the build-up for a potentially very good story!

Comments and Stuff.

Over a long enough time period, I try to respond to most people's comments. I realize I am at a point where that could start to prove to be a bit more of a challenge. Please note that if I do not respond, it is not a personal insult of any kind. Here's what can leave a comment unanswered:

(1) Google Filter/Sort Function. These are weird. Sometimes they just make a comment VERY hard to find. I can often see 15 comments are placed, yet it only shows me 14 comments. Finding that last comment can often be a challenge.

(2) I'm Trying to Be Thoughtful. It can actually be hard to find something to say! Particularly if you comment was very thoughtful; I want to be thoughtful in exchange, but sometimes this takes time. Then it gets buried under newer comments! This is my least favorite thing when it happens.

(3) Repeats. Not necessarily exact duplicates, but someone says, "Next part" and another person says, "Part 2, please!" It can be very hard for me to respond in different ways.

(4) Life Happens. Sometimes I am just plain busy with life!

Anyway, this is my advanced apology for any failings!

But, essentially, to go along with the whole 90s/00s era comedy theme for The Metamorphose (https://youtu.be/thN5VmuCHE0), I ended up creating an entire soundtrack album for it. These things used to be commonplace, and it felt appropriate for that true parody effect to make this a thing.

Also, creating parody band names was sort of the best thing ever.
